I've seen Paul Cebar and the Milwaukeeans live several times and you just can't find many other bands that appeal to such a wide audience. Everyone dances through the entire show. This is a great live album. Their music combines samba, jazz, funk, and anything else with rhythms and soul. Buy it, you'll like it!

His best CD,

I've been listening to Paul since the early 80's (when he was a college student). Even then he played a wide variety of styles, unlike many starting out who have a single predictable sound. His band is tight, playful and versatile. I have no idea what it would be like to buy a CD without having experienced his music live. If you have any inclination to dance, he will get you out on the floor. His songs are a mix of his own work and intriguing covers, invariably done in his own style -- not attempts to copy another's track the way you first heard it. In my opinion Suchamuch is his best CD -- a great place to start or remember a live performance. And don't be thrown off by "the Milwaukeeans" name -- these guys are not provincial.

I just saw Paul Cebar as backup for Bonnie Raitt in South Bend a couple of weeks ago and none of us had ever heard of him. It was quite a surprise that he came out a had the crowd totally in his hands from the get-go. Bonnie even came out and danced from the side of the stage and she praised him and his band several times in her own set. I went home and ordered this CD and it is very entertaining. The music is just a wide variety of genres, blues, zydeco, jazzy, danceable, plenty of guitar and percussion. Solid vocals. This guy has style to spare. Paul Cebar should really be much more well-known. He performs like a big-time talent and maybe now, touring with Bonnie, he will be.
