It's sad that Candyland fell apart almost as soon as success hit them. A friend of mine bought "Suck it & See" and played it constantly when I was around until it melted into my brain.
I've been listening to it on and off since it came out in 1991 and I still find it to be an inspired, lyrical and well-produced treat.

Sorry if this is harsh, but I was expecting more. Honestly, I think this album just came 5 years too late. This would have been the hottest thing out if it came out circa 1986, but coming out in 1991, well...

Let me put it this way. I found out about this band by watching old episodes of 'Beavis and Butthead', the video for Bitter Moon was, "critiqued", by the duo in their classic video review segments, but the parts of the song I head caught my attention. I got the album on Amazon and was disappointed that Bitter Moon was the only song of worth on the album.

I can't say don't get it, if you like 80's pop music, you'll like it, but in my opinion, don't spend more than a dollar on it.
