Product Description

Style: Cat DJ

Suck UK's Cat Scratching DJ Deck - a fun alternative toy, as part of the cat Playhouse series!

Never let it be said that Suck UK don't dabble in science. In the name of completely misunderstanding Schrodinger's work, we introduce the newest cat box combination, the DJ scratching mat!

Cats scratch furniture to mark their territory, exercise their muscles and just for sheer pleasure, so why not mix that natural instanct with a bit of fun?!

The Cat DJ Scratching Deck comes flat packed and folds together into a simple structure with posable tone arm and a top that spins as your cat paws it - meaning you can sit back and giggle in a "look the cat is doing human things!" way, rather than watch in horror as they shred your favourite sofa in to tiny pieces...

Comes with full instructions for easy assembly, the DJ Scratching Deck is a fun addition to any cat loving household!

And if you buy it, have a camera ready as you never know when it'll truly look like your cat is "dj-ing."

I admit it's a cute idea. And if you buy it, have a camera ready as you never know when it'll truly look like your cat is "dj-ing." But it's NOT worth the money and not durable whatsoever.

I was very disappointed when I opened this item. First, I couldn't believe it fit in such a small, flat package. But it did because it's basically just a box you fold together and it's supposed to stay together with tabs that stick in the inserts. Some wouldn't even hold and I had to tape them. No biggie though. It does have a creative design on the box, and the round scratching area does spin. However, my cats (who have loved ALL scratching items) did not take to this one. After about 10 seconds of interest (which I believe was mainly from the catnip), they never touched it again.

My two cats tear the crap out of ALL their scratching toys, except for this one. They prefer the $10 or so ACTUAL boxes that have replacement scratching areas to buy when needed (you take the old one out of the box and put the new scratcher inside it). They've scratched up their cat tree IMMENSELY! They also scratched up another round scratching item I got them (that includes a plastic 'ball holder' that's attached all around the area to be scratched - so they can also play with the ball, swat at it & try and catch it, etc). But this one didn't appeal to them (or me).

The round area that they actually scratch is a lot smaller and thinner than I expected. Perhaps the size of it is the reason they never 'took' to it.

I also did not like this item (and not just because my cats didn't). I would never pay that much money for a folding box. I thought it would arrive as shown or with some assembly, but I wasn't expecting just a flimsy box with the DJ design on it.

There is only one word that properly describes this product: pawsome. My three year old kitten, Chairman Meow, was absolutely blown away by the Suck UK Cat Scratch. He was so excited he continuously purred whilst spinning some "phat" beats and threw up several hairballs - resulting in a trip to the vet. A few days and $1300 in bills later, Chairman Meow was back up at his Cat Scratch once again trying to make his name in the DJing world. He changed his name to DJ Paws n Claws and has been traveling extensively in Europe, performing gigs and he now has a house in Amsterdam.

Pros: DJ Paws n Claws is now a rising artist in the European house music scene and regularly sends me checks in the mail. I can now live a life of leisure sipping on Tuscan Whole Milk, 1 Gallon, 128 fl oz and I have upgraded from my trailer to a modest houseboat.

Cons: DJ Paws n Claws has been pretty uppity lately, he's taken to smoking cigarettes and is hanging out with a "Dead Mouse". His new-found attitude has found its way to my new shag carpet, as he thinks that he's above the litter box and can take a huge dump wherever he likes.

Ultimate decision: Go ahead and get it. Even though my cat now takes dumps on the carpet due to the Suck UK Cat Scratch I am living the life that I deserve. My new girlfriend, Linda, isn't missing any of her incisors like my previous girlfriend Crystale.

The one star is for the cute graphics. Which really aren't so impressive when you can't put this tiny box together because the slots don't line up with the tabs.

This thing arrives in an envelope and is smaller than it appears in the picture. I have small cats, 9 lbs each, and I was wondering if they would really have any fun with this thing since I couldn't see either of them fitting in there very well. I am not one who has trouble assembling things, but the problem with this box is that the tabs weaken as you try to put them into the slot, so they don't stay. I tried to fortify the tabs by using some hot glue, but because of how awkwardly this is made, it didn't help matters. My cats never got a chance to try this because it was clear that even if I finished assembling this, it wouldn't last. Not to mention, the car doors, used for getting in and out of the "car" are very small and I didn't think they would even use it. This really is a piece of crap.

Save your money, this box is not worth it. I am embarrassed that I bought it and can't believe someone has the nerve to ask $28 for it. I am sending it back and asking for a refund.

Far too small for my cats to use with any comfort and they aren't huge at all. The image misleads you. Not worth the price at all. I was so disappointed because they look so cute! The same thing goes for the tank and Cadillac they make as well. Wonderful idea but dismally executed.

This had to be twenty words, but all that truly need be said is swag, though my cats dj'ing skills have actually not increased at all.

I bought this, the tank and the plane because they were so adorable and I was certain my cats would love them since they love boxes. Unfortunately they were all too small for my cats too use. I have four long haired cats that aren't overweight or anything, they aren't tiny but not huge. Even my smallest was uncomfortable. Huge disappointment! Don't bother unless your cat is still a kitten.
