His influence was so strong that Egypt (co-ruled by Britain and France) was plunged into war. Good little introduction to the Egyptian and Sudan campaigns during the 1880s and 90s. Illustrations are well done and accurate. Particularly good for wargamers, military miniature enthusiasts and those with a burgeoning interest in this period of British military history.
