Earl Klugh NEVER ceases to amaze me. When I became a fan of his music, I purchased ALL of his CD's at one time that I didn't own already. Although Sudden Burst Of Energy isn't my favorite, there are quite a few bright spots here. My favorites are: Happy Song / Sunset Island and Open Road. Very good album from MORE than a regular artist. Add THIS one to your collection.

Unfortunately this the only CD I have of Earls, however I am completely hooked on the entire CD. It is one of my favorite CD's and I judge all of the other CD's I plan to purchase up against it. It's definetly the right " music to my ears ".

Earl Klugh is a very talented guitarist.Earl is my main-man any time any day.You'll love the Tracks in this CD. Great Compilation! Just listen to Maybe Tonight,Only You,Sunset Island,Open Road,I'll be Waiting,The Wiggle and others, You'll LOVE them all!

This is my favorite Earl Klugh album. Yes, I even prefer this to the recent Grammy nominated "Spice of Life". This artist has evolved a unique style of music that cannot be compared easily with any other. It is as futile to attempt a comparison with jazz legends like Wes Montgomery as it is to compare any true great musician with another artist. Each distinguishes his or her art by its originality and Klugh's style of music is truly all his own. His rendition of Canadian Sunset on the "Spice of Life" album has little in common with Wes Montgomery's on the "Boss Guitar" album. And this is as it should be, the variety is what makes the exploration of the musical landscape so rewarding. If you are a guitar buff this is a must have for your collection, and if you just love good music this is one you should invest in also... and oh he does play keyboard on this album very competently I must say! If an artist's success is judged by his ability to invoke a mood with his art then Klugh is certainly at the height of his powers with this recording. So dive in and feel the transformation. Earl Klugh is a truly gifted writer, composer and performer and I sincerely wish he would experience another "Sudden Burst of Energy".

This is great music to relax with. Earl Klugh is a very talented musician.

The title, "Sudden Burst of Energy" is quite misleading though.

"The Sudden Burst of Energy" is Earl Klugh's best album. In my point of view, it is even better than his greatest collection.

I have grown to love Earl's Music and i will tell you this, sudden burts of Energy is one of his best. It will blow you away and all the tracks are great. If you are a fan of this man's music then make sure you get it. You won't regret.

Que deamnder de plus à un artiste que de nous émouvoir et nous permettre de nous évader ? Earl Klugh m'a révélé au jazz-rock. J'ai eu l'occasion d'écouter d'autres artistes, mais il reste toujours mon n°1, tant pour son talent guitaristique que pour toute l'humanité qu'il sait incorporer dans ses chansons. Comment fait-il pour synthétiser en quelques notes, quelques silences, la somme de toutes les lumières de la vie ? Seuls Eric Gale et Mark Knoppfler savent avec lui, le faire, juste avec une guitare. Avec "Sudden Burst of energy", Earl Klugh les devance définitivement, tant sa guitare nous raconte l'histoire de l'humanité... telle qu'elle devrait être: belle et douillette.
