I have a confession to make: I consider John Debney's music for "Sudden Death" to be one of my greatest guilty pleasures. Granted, it was scored for a Peter Hyams movie, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme (Ouch!). However it was entertaining, with a fine perfomance by Powers Boothe as the bad guy. But I'm supposed to talk about this album, right?
Let's face it. I love every single one of the thirty minutes of this album; as a matter of fact, I listen to it twice in one single playback. The main theme is incredibly catchy, and much of the action music keeps you completely awake. It's beyond comprehension why John Debney is being wasted on so many comedies. He's great at writing action music, and "Sudden Death" is proof of that. This movie was a great entrance for him. I love to hear him write this kind of music, with a little drama and tension on the side.
Trust me, you can be hooked by the music of "Sudden Death", and you can cherish it, as well as label it as a great guilty pleasure as I do. I wish there had been more music, but no matter: I have to stick with this CD because I love it.

This cd is a great score of VanDamme action movie "SuddenDeath". The music is quite fast for a cd!I thought it would be alittle longer ,I think the Cd is about 20-30 minutes long. My favorite tracks are 1 and 9!I have been looking for this cd for quite a while and thanks to Amazon, I finally brought it! This cd is a must for fans of the composer John Debney. I dont know much anout the composer, but this cd is a great price and worth the money!
