Garbage,

This review is from: The Sudden Death Of Michael Jackson: The Medical Facts About The Causes Of Death (Paperback)
I can't help but wonder what your true agenda is other than to extract money from hard working people in a very rough economy, by putting Michael Jackson's name on the cover.Or perhaps to continue to slant the story to continue the cover-up of the truth. I can only imagine this will only fuel those non supporters and also add to the tedious task of selecting a jury if the judicial system ever gets to that point. I can only conclude you are not a Jackson supporter let along someone who seeks and supports the TRUTH, only someone who pounces upon an opportunity to make money of a tragic death while and investigation is ongoing and the family is still in mourning. Shame on you !!! Needless to say I do not support your book nor will I buy it.

Is the author have a medical background. It is a huge leap assume that the drugs in question where used for alcohol withdrawal. They are also used for insomnia. When will this endless line of people trying to make money of Michael Jackson ever end.

Undoing the Damage,

This review is from: The Sudden Death Of Michael Jackson: The Medical Facts About The Causes Of Death (Paperback)
First of all, if Michael was constantly on multiple medications as you so mentioned in the book, then he would have been dead way before Dr. Murray was in the picture. Before I go on, my pharmacist told me that a long while back, Demoral was taken off the market due to the fact that the elderly take multiple amounts of medication for the ailments as they age and then were dying without first knowing what the cause was. Later proof was found that demoral was the contributing factor and that's why they say it's not on the market anymore. If Michael had demoral in his system, don't you think it would have killed him before June 25th? I remember reading and hearing from the autopsy report that Deprivan and Ativan were the two contributing factors that took his life.I know there was also other meds but in the same category as Ativan which are Benzodiazepin.
Now 25mg wasn't enough to kill Michael nor was the 2 miligrams of ativan every 2 to 3 hours wasn't enough, trust me, by law in the State of California, 4 to 6 ativans a day is allowed for chronic pain sufferers especially in the lower extremeties. I know this because it's what I've had to take since 1994 and I'm not dead. My legs suffer severe painful seizures that don't stop and that's the only medidcation that helps.I'm still here aren't I? Does anybody know about the extra bottle found in the closet with the big rip on the rubber part of the bottle where the needle is suppsed to go. I don't remember the exact name but there's a bigger needle that does that and with that type of needle that had a larger and faster drip at 100mg in just seconds "IS" enough to kill anyone. Multiple meds or not. Unbelievable, I don't know who this guys is but he obviously doesn't have his facts straight. I get my information straight from my doctor's or pharmacists after all aren't they the ones who are supposed to be very trained and knowledgeable on what medications are safe to mix and what not. I won't go much into Dr. Murray since this isn't really about him but I feel that there's more than they're reallyl telling us and 25mg, my anestheologist told me was hardly nothing, not enough to kill anyone. I wouldn't buy this book either, there were a few offending lines there that boiled my blood but I certainly wouldn't recommend this book. It's an insult to Michael's memory. That's all I have to say about this subject.

If I could rate this book with "no stars" I would. This is absolutely ridiculous, and it's SLANDER! The author should be ashamed. Obviously he's got his "facts" wrong, and he has no idea what he's talking about. Michael was not an alcoholic, he wasn't a drug addict either. I really am just at a loss of words for the stupidity of this book. All I have to say is if you are someone who came across this book, and you are not sure who Michael was as a person, educate yourself. Read Michael Jackson Conspiracy by Aphrodite Jones. That book sums tells the truth about Michael, the trials, and who he was.

HACK JOB FOR MONETARY GAIN,
By okaretta (middle of nowhere, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Sudden Death Of Michael Jackson: The Medical Facts About The Causes Of Death (Paperback)
Amazon, PLEASE PULL THIS BOOK. It belongs on tabloid magazine shelves!!!
FACT: Jackson had NO alcohol (ethanol) present in his body when he died and many who knew him never witnessed him to drink alcohol. No alcoholic beverages have been noted to have been found in the residence, either. Very few cases of alcohol withdrawal progress onto delirium tremens which is the most severe form of alcohol withdrawal. When treating withdrawal, especially something as serious as delirium tremens, the person would NOT be showing up for dance rehearsals only to go home be treated at bedtime. FACT: Jackson was not only healthy but possessed a HEALTHY LIVER per the autopsy report--something NOT seen in alcoholics who battle their addiction, especially for YEARS--they develop cirrhosis among MANY other health complications, including heart disease (Jackson had NONE), pancreatitis (none) and thiamine deficiency, which is treated during withdrawal, too. FACT: Propofol is typically NOT (if ever) used to treat alcohol withdrawal as one would have to be intubated for this to occur and if possible this should be avoided. Typically high-doses of benzodiazepines, up to 2,000 mg of diazepam a DAY may be required, a far cry from Jackson's 10 mg tablet. FACT: Benzodiazpines CAN be used to treat alcohol withdrawal but also serve many useful purposes, including treatment for anxiety and INSOMNIA, which can be idiopathic or caused from prednisone, too. FACT: Flumazenil is NOT used to treat alcoholism it is used to reverse sedation or treat benzodiazepine overdose ONLY. FACT: Someone can suffer from insomnia (there have been no reports that Jackson was being treated for anxiety as of current) and use benzodiazepines to treat the insomnia. All benzodiazepines prescriptions, except one, were labeled for INSOMNIA. The one exception to this was diazepam written only DAYS before his death by Conrad Murray, a cardiologist who is charged with Jackson's death. FACT: Prednisone can be used for many ailments and was NOT being used to treat liver disease in Jackson (if it is even used to treat actual liver disease at all). He had NO liver disease and the prednisone was written by Dr. Klein--A DERMATOLOGIST, licensed to treat discoid lupus. Dermatologists do NOT treat liver disease. Furthermore, extreme caution must be used in patients with liver disease who must take prednisone as the effects of the drug may be enhanced. FACT: There is NOT enough evidence to conclude that propofol is addictive, especially not physically addictive or when used in therapeutic doses, as Jackson supposedly requested for sleep. It forms NO tolerance and has little to NO withdrawals, especially in adult patients. If it were so addictive it would be a SCHEDULED DRUG--WHICH IT IS NOT. The only fact I see in this rubbish is propofol has been used as a murder weapon at least five times (4 cases in America, 1 in Indonesia), including with JACKSON. FACT: Less than 1% of patients experience green urine from propofol (and you failed to mention it can turn the nails, green, too). FACT: This author has no ties to Jackson and does not know ANYTHING about his possible past drug use. This extra-large tabloid may have 100 medical journal references but obviously the author does not know how to READ and UTILIZE them. FACT: This book is complete GARBAGE with the sole intent of promoting monetary gain for the author. DO NOT BUY IT.

Nonsense,

This review is from: The Sudden Death Of Michael Jackson: The Medical Facts About The Causes Of Death (Paperback)
My suggestion is to not waste your money on this collection
of innuendo, misleading information and blatantly false information. As a medical person, there is no excuse for nonsense like this to be printed anywhere and presented as fact. Really bad.

Some Comments From The Author Of This Book,

This review is from: The Sudden Death Of Michael Jackson: The Medical Facts About The Causes Of Death (Paperback)
I am the author of this book. I wrote it because I was curious regarding the manner of Michael Jackson's death, and wanted to dig beneath the headlines. After doing a lot of research in medical journals, it turned out that several of the benzodiazepine drugs that Michael Jackson had in his body when he died are commonly used to treat alcohol withdrawal. Both insomnia and anxiety are common symptoms of alcoholism. Michael Jackson had three benzodiazepine drugs that are routinely used to treat this problem in his body when he died. This book includes over a hundred medical journal source references to back up this conclusion, so anyone who wants to check up on what I found out can look up the same references and will inevitably come to the same conclusion. This book was written to find out the truth, meaning medical facts, about what really happened to Michael Jackson. Those who are looking for something other than the truth should look elsewhere.
