I am a big John Sanford fan and love the "Prey" series, however, "Sudden Prey" is not one of his best in my opinion.

Read two, recall one, January 25, 2010

Author writes like a factory. Characters in the two books I read are hard to separate. I did not appreciate the assine remark that "even George Bush knew about DNA" Thats the sort of remark that people who do not buy novels, magazines, or newspapers belive. Does the author know what an ILS, ADF, attitude indicator is? These terms are used everyday, by pilots. The term DNA is tossed around by TV shows, but DNA tests are expensive, take a long time, and are used only in exceptional cases. Fingerprints are still used, are cheaper, and quicker. Do not recall the author referring to them.
Arthur Conan Doyal would laugh at most crime/mystery productions. These factory novels are as bad as the current car crash/explosion/bloody gun battles. I carried a gun for 29 years, made numerous felony arrests, and had my gun out twice, and never fired it on the range. This experience is probably the experience of most cops.
