5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable book!, April 1, 2000

This review is from: Suddenly Married (Suddenly Series #3) (Love Inspired #52) (Mass Market Paperback)
In Suddenly Married, Dara Mackenzie is a math teacher who loses her job because of a scandal involving her father, who has since died. While searching for another job, Dara takes over teaching a first-grade Sunday School class. She immediately falls in love with two solemn children, who happen to be the children of Noah Lucas, the lawyer who is investigating her father's case. Initial antagonism between the two soon turns to friendship, then love. This book was the first of the Love Inspired books which I bought--and after reading it, I was hooked on the series. However, I have read and re-read Suddenly Married and it remains one of my favorites. I love Loree Lough's writing style and the characters who come alive each time I open the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read Inspirational romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, August 18, 2011

This review is from: Suddenly Married (Suddenly Series #3) (Love Inspired #52) (Mass Market Paperback)
I must admit that when this guy first proposed to Dara, I rolled my eyes because it was just SOOOO unbelievable. But by the time I finished reading it, I was convinced that he made the right decision to get the ball rolling...

This book is about a man, widowed, with two children. Though he loved his wife and she loved him, she wasn't the most pleasing woman in the world and had raised the children with a very firm hand (though if she had been dead for...what...four years, how could the children remember her and all her training?) I choose not to question this because then I'd have to rethink my rating, and any book that leaves me with that "everything's right int he world" feeling at the end deserves all five stars!!!

Another marriage of convenience - with benefits...

Though I don't really care for this author's writing style - goes from present day to back flashing...At one time I think she was backflashing during a blackflash...I found myself trying to figure out exactly what they were doing at the moment and when everything happened...My head started spinning at some points in this story...

The final chapter is...oh so heavenly...and I must say that the author does a fine job in making an innocent scene seem so hot!!! Boy howdy, but a simple thing like the only sound being the quilt hitting the floor left little to the imagination, yet the statement was completely innocent...I've noticed that in "Suddenly Daddy" as well...I'm don't recall there being "hot scenes" in Suddenly Mommy...were there?
