This book caught my attention because of it's small size and cover. I skimmed through most of it at the Christian store I was at and thought it would make a great Easter gift. It has an interesting format and the pictures between the chapters are excellent. It held my interest and I felt like I was experiencing the story along with the shopkeeper narrator. I felt the emotions of wonder, awe, sorrow and joy right along with the character in the book.

After reading this book this morning, I had a vision of one of our youth at church performing this book as a dramatic interpretation. What an excellent, fresh view of the Easter Story!

The clamor was unusual which brought the shopkeeper into the street. He felt compelled to follow the crowd to the hill where three crosses held the dying. This well written story, of Jesus Christ, held me as well, and i cried. I have read it twice, so far, and bought a copy for a friend.
