Single Until The Right Man Comes Along, September 18, 2008
This review is from: Suddenly Single (Mass Market Paperback)
"Suddenly Single" is Trina Crawford's and Reno Merriwether's story. Trina is a strong-willed woman, but how can she be anything else coming from a family like the Crawfords. Her grandfather and father are judges; an uncle is a doctor, her mother a nurse, one aunt is an ex-bounty hunter. Then there are cousins who are doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc. However, Trina also has learned to stand on her own. She and her cousins have founded the internet company, Suddenlysingleatl.com, a site for singles who wants to meet other singles.
Trina's life takes on a drastic change, when her ex-boyfriend, Drake, proposes to Trina during a football game on national television against Trina's wishes. When Trina refuses and says downright "NO" all hell breaks loose literally. Drake is furious and joins forces with Trina's ex-employee, Nona, who means Trina no good. That's not all that happens. Reno, Trina's boyfriend from college days is watching TV and sees Trina. This stirs memories for Reno -- memories over eight years ago that never died. Reno is still infatuated with Trina and feels Trina will be the perfect solution to his problem. Reno needs a wife to help secure his adopted daughter's Chole's sister from Somali.
Reno and Trina meet again. Reno knows what and who he wants. Trina has not forgotten Reno and wants him too, but she figures she does not want to be his wife. However, after meeting adorable Chole, who has stopped talking, Trina's motherly instincts comes forth and Trina is unable to resist the beautiful child and more so, unable to resist the handsome and formidable Reno.
Adventure, laughter, happiness, joy and love awaits Trina, Reno and Chole. Also, the reader is reunited with the Crawford clan as they are just one BIG loving and caring family. The whole family falls in love with Chole and accepts her as if Trina gave birth to her.
Ms. Green has written another moving story about the Crawfords. Is there any chance that Tracey Crawford, who appeared troubled in "Suddenly Single" will have her own story of love, romance and renewed joy?

Lots of layers in this storyline..., October 20, 2011
Trina Crawford is the epitome of the strong business woman who doesn't accept help when she needs it and tries to do everything on her own. I enjoyed the easy friendship with her old friend Reno, and watching her slowly come to terms with the fact that she can rely on others as needed. Also, the secondary story about adopting children from overseas was interesting.
