From Library Journal
In lieu of a face-to-face encounter, syndicated columnist Kite offers divorced mothers this book of advice on coping with ex-in-laws, child support, budgeting as a "single," dating, sex, family vacations, and more. Her manic, stream-of-consciousness style, the flaky names (e.g., she calls the ex-husband "Eclipse," and his new wife "Vampira"), the frequent references to toilets, and the author's assumption that men will be drawn to divorcees as iron filings to a magnet limit the book's permanent value. This humorous treatment of a serious subject is suitable for large popular materials and comprehensive women's interest collections.- Nancy M. Laskowski, Free Lib. of Philadelphia
