5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It!!!!!!!, July 10, 2011
A Kid's Review
I am 10 years old and love these books. They are about Kat, a 13-year old medium. She got the gift on her 13th Birthday and inherited it from her mother. In every book of the Suddenly Supernatural series, Kat encounters a ghost and tries to help it cross over. In the first three books she was successful, but I haven't read the fourth yet, though I'm sure she will be. I hope Elizabeth Cody Kimmel continues to write books for the Suddenly Supernatural series. Great for girls ages 10-13!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, Spooky, October 16, 2010
A Kid's Review
I am 10 years old, and I really liked this book. It is fast-paced, and the suspense builds from chapter to chapter, making it almost impossible to stop reading. Kat has to choose if she wants to help a little boy who is in a coma, and even if she can help. She has to deal with her powers, seeing ghosts, and being a teenager all at once.

I think it's really a good book if you like ghosts and mystery stories and if you are almost a teenager or a girl in the 5th through 7th grades who enjoys spooky stories.

This review is from: Suddenly Supernatural: Scaredy Kat (Hardcover)
Kat and Jac are a wonderful pair of characters and these books are great for those who like supernatural stories that are not too gory or scary. This one deals with Kat becoming scared of her new found powers too scared to even talk to her mother about it. Especially when it comes to the house she researching next door. She can talk to her mom's long time friend who helps her face her fears inside the house that seems to have its own ghosts inside.

4.0 out of 5 stars Keeps Getting Better, June 24, 2009
This review is from: Suddenly Supernatural: Scaredy Kat (Hardcover)
My 7-year-old and 10-year-old both really enjoyed this book, though there were moments they both found incredibly scary, two or three I think. Those scary parts were rather brief and didn't deter either from wanting to see how the story ended. It was a quick read and the supernatural elements were balanced nicely with the trials of just growing up and finding your independence. A couple of subplots added to the enjoyment and though the book was short everything worked. I also enjoyed the book, it was better than the first, which was a good read. We're adding the third to our summer reading list.

5.0 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too, June 4, 2009
This review is from: Suddenly Supernatural: Scaredy Kat (Hardcover)
Middle School medium Kat is back, and this time there are even more ghosts following her around.

Kat and her friend, Jac, decide to explore the house next door as part of their spring break school project. But an abandoned house means ghosts, and when Kat meets the spirit of a young boy, she and Jac have another mystery to solve - and another spirit to help.

SUDDENLY SUPERNATURAL is the perfect paranormal series for tweens. Kat and Jac are great characters, and I think readers can relate to their middle school struggles. Jac is clashing over the future of her cello career with her mom and Kat herself is finding herself in that transition into teen-hood.

Elizabeth Cody Kimmel's tween voice is perfect and the mystery is enough to keep even older readers engaged. A fun, quick read for fans of ghost stories, I'm looking forward to the next installment in Kat's story.
