I missed Suddenly Susan. They no longer air it in syndication or on lifetime anymore. I love Brooke Shields as Susan, the woman who dumps her fiance, and goes back to work at a San Francisco magazine headed by Judd Nelson who is also the brother of the jilted groom. Kathy Griffin shines here as Vicky, the Jewish Red-Headed secretary, who works along side Shields' character. They should have their own show, Vicky and Susan, the unlikeliest of friends. Vicky's mom would be played by Joan Rivers. Anyway, the show was never the best but they also featured David Strickland as the music columnist. Sadly, David Strickland committed suicide during the show's run which explained how the show lost it's edge in it's uneventful final season. The show had also Barbara Barrie as the beloved Granny.

..i love it now! Brooke Shields was awesome on this show and it also introduced me to my favorite comedian Kathy Griffin. I remembered when the 3rd season ended. I never understood what happened to David Strickland's character (i was a naive tween). He just never showed up in the episode then you understood he died, but i thought in the show only..i honestly thought he quit or got fired from the show. Then when I heard he committed suicide, I was floored. I can't wait 'til the first season is released. I always thought he was funny and the show lost it's way in the fourth and final season.

I'm looking forward to seeing David Strickland once more.

suddenly susan was a great comedy, all the cast had great comic timing and all worked well and it shined through into this really funny sitcom, brooke shields was soo wacky as susan keane i hope to see it one day realsed on dvd...man its been 13 years now and it still aint on dvd..come on warner bros studios get ur act togther, it ran for 4 seasons, totaly funny show, maybe u would think they would try and cash in on brookes short lived success in lipstick jungle

This show should definitely be put on DVD. After all the crappy shows they put out and then not put this one out? I just think it's completely unfair. I love this show. I actually don't remember specific details about this show because it's been so long. I'd love to be able to watch it again. It would be like watching a great new comedy show. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PUT THIS ON DVD!!!!!!!

How can the ridiculously bad Worst Week be on DVD already, but I have to wait for Suddenly Susan? I loved this show back in the day, but I was so young, I want to see it again as an adult. Please let us watch it again!

I can't wait till they finally put SUDDENLY SUSAN on DVD and it was a popular sitcom showing Brooke Shields at her best doing a show that was somewhat of a comedy/drama with some touching and funny episodes as well along with the fact that Suddenly Susan had Brooke Shields looking her best and looking hotter than ever, especially when she frosted her hair.

So I don't see why Warner Bros. is taking so long to put SUDDENLY SUSAN on DVD, especially since they've already got all the seasons of FRIENDS put on DVD and most of the seasons of MARRIED WITH CHILDREN on DVD.

So I think this review should be helpful to anyone who was a Suddenly Susan fan and that this review should be helpful to anybody who has been wanting Suddenly Susan on DVD too, especially since Suddenly Susan hasn't been on the air anywhere in 4 years, not since Lifetime took this show off the air in March of 2005.

Therefore, it will be a big blessing when Suddenly Susan comes out on DVD complete and uncut like each episode was originally shown throughout it's 4-year run on NBC, except it will be commercial-free, which is even better.

I really enjoyed this show and had to change channels to watch it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but as I learned as a child if you can't say something good then don't say anything except if it is a ripoff. Such as in no CC's or subtitles for the hearing impaired or poor quality presentation.

I loved the first season of Suddenly Susan, and I love Brooke Shields; although I didn't care for the second season. I would definitely buy the first season if it came out on DVD.

It was the writing and the acting. I never thought it was that good.

But that will likely not stop it from coming to DVD. Anyway to make a fast buck.
