5.0 out of 5 stars Neat puzzle package - lot of fun
I bought this because I'd heard so much about Sudoku, and wondered what the fuss was. Heck - I guess one Sudoku book is much like another, and I can't tell you whether this is any better than the other books, but I can tell you that it's a totally compelling craze. I spent nearly the whole of a transatlantic flight with my nose in this book, and was utterly absorbed. It...

3.0 out of 5 stars The sudoku book
The book is too small. It is convenient to carry in your purse, but I prefer puzzles that are about 8" tall so there is room to sketch in numbers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sudoku For Travelers, September 4, 2005

Very convenient size for those of us who live on planes and trains. The 'tips' section does not go into much as detail as other puzzle books that discuss "twins", etc. Puzzles are ranked from easy to difficult. A nice first Sudoku book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Should be banned, July 19, 2005

I don't normally do puzzles so I asked a friend which sudoku book to buy, and he recommended this Griffiths-Jones book. It was a good choice, it's well put together. I got stuck a few times, but the tips at the beginning of the book helped. But be warned, these things are dangerous to productivity. I'd get going on one puzzle, look up, and 30 minutes had gone by just like that!

5.0 out of 5 stars Relaxing and Enjoyable, September 29, 2005
This review is from: The Sudoku Book: An Introduction to Su Doku with 101 Puzzles (Paperback)
I enjoy this book simply because since I have asthma, it tends to flair up a lot during the summer mostly. Since I bought Sudoku, it relaxes me and I enjoy it at the same time. It keeps my mind on edge, constantly thinking, which I love.

It is a very good book because it also has beginner to expert, and it shows you how to do it. It is easy and hard at the same time, but very good.

I would recommend this book to everyone who enjoys puzzles and likes to work their brain.

While the puzzles are good, the format of the book made it very awkward. Tho the size made it easy to slip in a pocket or purse, the binding was so stiff that it was very hard to work on the puzzles. I would have a hard time recommending this book to someone else.

4.0 out of 5 stars What a Cool Tiny Little Book!, July 25, 2005
This review is from: The Sudoku Book: An Introduction to Su Doku with 101 Puzzles (Paperback)
I got hooked on the sudoku a few weeks ago when USA Today started running the puzzles. I was suprised at the small size of the book, but it is loaded, and I am addicted to theses silly things! The book is kind of pricey, but since there are not a lot of other choices out there right now, what the heck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sudoku Puzzles, October 5, 2005
This review is from: The Sudoku Book: An Introduction to Su Doku with 101 Puzzles (Paperback)
As a new "addict," I found this book to be just right. The divisions of "Easy" "Moderate" "Hard" and "Very Hard" are pretty much on target. The "Easy" puzzles I could manage fairly well. I also found the Tips to be helpful. I find that the more I work the puzzles the more I can apply the tips. "Moderate" puzzles are obviously more challenging as are the "Hard" ones. I have yet to attempt a "Very Hard" puzzle, but that day will come soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Review of The Sudoku Book, October 8, 2005
This review is from: The Sudoku Book: An Introduction to Su Doku with 101 Puzzles (Paperback)
This is a good book for beginners as well as the more advanced. It offeres a how-to section in the beginning along with three levels of puzzles. The small size makes it easy to take with you and it is overall fun to do. I highly recommend this product to all customers.
