Product Description

Millions of Sudoku puzzles are at your fingertips with Sudoku Works for Kindle.

Sudoku Works can create puzzles in four grid sizes (4x4, 6x6, 8x8 and 9x9) with five difficulty levels, so it can make puzzles for everyone from beginner to expert. And with over 50 million possible puzzles, it's unlikely you'll ever run out of puzzles to play.

An exciting way to share the Sudoku experience is with the "Puzzle of the Day". With "Puzzle of the Day", all Sudoku Works players will be given the same puzzle to solve so you can play with or against your friends. A puzzle timer is available to make it easy to compare results.

Special features in Sudoku Works make playing Sudoku easy and fun. You can use "penciling" to make notes in the squares, and use the "auto-pencil", "show mistakes" and "show selected number" features to help you if you need it. If you want to take a break, you can always return to a partly completed puzzle, or you can replay any previously completed puzzle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well, so much for using my Kindle just for reading... October 9, 2011

After enjoying Oak Systems word search game Word Search
for Kindle, I discovered this Sudoku game by the same publisher.

I really love the way these people design their games for use on Kindle.

Sudoku Works has options galore, which are sure to please any Sudoku puzzle lover. One unique feature I've never seen in any software Sudoko game is that when Sudoko Works generates a puzzle, it also provides an ID number, which can be entered by others who have the same game on their Kindle, meaning you can share puzzles. Cool.

I'll be using the 9x9(normal) grid size at the lowest difficulty setting for a while - for me, this provides a decent deductive reasoning workout without being too frustrating or time consuming.

The ONLY suggestion I would make to the people of Oak Systems Leisure Software would be to enable "wrapping" on the Kindle's 4-way navigation button (i.e., for all "grid" style games, if you are at the bottom of the grid, pressing the down arrow one the navigation button would pop you back at the top of the grid). This would make getting around these games much quicker.

If you even have just a casual interest in Sudoku, this game belongs on your Kindle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Sudoku Game! September 16, 2011

At first I had a problem with entering a couple of numbers in the 9/15 "Puzzle of the Day", but I have played several more of the games and have had no further problems. One thing I really like about these Sudoku games is that you can delete one of the note numbers without having to reenter the remaining numbers. Also, there are tons of puzzles with this game, so you won't run out of puzzles for a long time. If you love Sudoku like I do, then you will enjoy this game!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Sudoku Works October 10, 2011

Love this Sudoku game! Easy to use, large easy to read numbers, lots of games. You can even erase the games and do them over. Much easier to use than EA Sudoku which has very light colored numbers that are very hard for me to read and Sudoku Works is cheaper!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Game November 16, 2011

I bought this game for my Kindle because I was tired of buying the small Sudoku books. I have played Sudoku on my MacBook on the MSN web site, but I didn't like the slowness or the game operation. I looked at several of the Sudoku games for my Kindle and decided on the Sudoku Works from Oak. The reviews were good and for $.99 it was hard to go wrong. I have been using the game for several days now and couldn't be more pleased with the game. It is easy to operate and provides hundreds of puzzles at several levels. Buy this game, you can't go wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars DOES work with kindle touch December 27, 2011
Despite what an earlier review states, this does work with the touch. You touch a number along the bottom and then touch the square where you want to enter it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best version so far for the Kindle Keyboard October 24, 2011

Electronic Arts did great programs for Solitaire and Card Games etc. but their Sudoku version is inferior when compared to this program from Oak. This app from Oak uses a greater point size for the candidates within the Cells. Input for digits can be done from the qweasdzxc letter keys; first tap for cell entry, second tap for candidate, third tap for deletion [no changing mode from cell entry to candidate entry]. There are many options from the size of puzzle 4x4 6x6 8x8 and 9x9 and different levels of difficulty for each size of puzzle. There are options for auto candidates, auto updating of candidates after a cell entry, and you can have it auto check for errors to eliminate thoughtless errors. All in all a superior product and supposedly with an unlimited number of puzzles. One final thought, if you are looking for a high level of difficulty ie needing to identify "swordfish and jellyfish", you won't find it here. In the hardest level I've only had to identify pairs and maybe triplets.

4.0 out of 5 stars Satisfied January 10, 2012

I bought this for my Kindle Touch and its great for when my brain hits book overload and I need to focus on something else. It didn't take too long for me to figure it out (tap number you want to write in and then the space you want it in) and the easy puzzles are actually easy so I expect people of all ages and skill ranges could play this.

how do you get to the other part of menu for wrong letters?
You most likely got your question answered already by now (or you don't care about it anymore); but I just thought I'd add my two-cents since your post is still hanging here, because I really like this game. It's SO much easier than pencil and paper Sudoku. I don't know about you, but I end up... Read More
