Couldn't wait to get this, but right off the bat was extremely unsatisfied with it. The worst 2 features of the game are: 1)The game doesn't allow you to write little notations to yourself - a must in more difficult sudoku puzzles! 2) The game immediately lets you know if you've placed a wrong number & there's no way to turn this off.

Sudoku is one of the simplest games ever, and the DS is the perfect electronic platform for it because of its pen input. So why is impossible for these games companies to come up with a Sudoku game that is actually playable? Brain Age is the only one that gets it right (but sadly it only has a limited number of puzzles).
The advertising for "Sudokuro" states it has text recognition, and based on that I pre-ordered hoping it would be close to Brain Age in format, but it is not. It does let you write the number you want, but you have to use clunky arrow cursors to move around the board which is displayed on the upper (non-touch) screen. It seems like a no-brainer to me to put the board on the touch screen so you can just tap the square you want, but nope, not here. (Why they even bothered to put text recognition in Sudokuro is a mystery, because it's much simpler to just tap the number. I guess they wanted to pad their features list to fool people like me into buying this game.) Sudokuro is a complete waste of time and money, you're better off buying a Sudoku book and using a pen.

I agree with the other current reviewer. I really was hoping this would be a good Sudoku game, but not being able to put in small numerical notations is just unbelievable. Plus the user interface in not that great either. The people that programmed this should be ashamed of creating this bad game. I am really sorry I bought this! I should have waited for reviews, but was hoping for better. Brain Age Sudoku still beats the pants off of every other such game for the DS so far. That is sad! :(
