This CD established Soda Stereo as one of the most artistically mature musical groups on the planet. In a different musical style than their previous releases, the music and words continued to be truly thought-provoking and intellectual, taking the listener back through 3 decades of rock and pop music in classic Soda style with such welcomed variety compared to the monotony of streamlined product generally dominating the musical markets. The utilization of 70s rock textures (sampled or not) was pioneering for 1995 (year of release), and the production was built with exquisite layers of sound, never overbearing, with excellent use of space (Alberti's percussion style helped this aspect). Cerati, one of the best rock guitarists of all time, works his magic as usual, not only melodically, but lyrically. Sueno Stereo shows again why Cerati is a true poet and awesome singer who writes amazing, intelligent and challenging lyrics sung with beauty. The whole production of this CD is superior. Unfortunately, the group would not make another studio album before disolving.

As a long-time fan of Soda Stereo, all I can say is that non-Spanish speaking music lovers are missing out on perhaps one of the greatest albums of all time. The lyrics are sheer poetry, and even so, I doubt that there will ever be another voice like Cerati's to do them justice! Still, it is possible to become completely transfixed with its virtually liquid rhythm that is strangely evocative of Pink Floyd, The Cure, and Depeche Mode, yet at the same time, it's like nothing you've ever heard before! This is an album that compells you to TURN! IT! UP! If you don't speak the language, this album will make you want to learn Spanish. It's one of those classic albums that you want to take with you on road trips and make love to once you get where you're going. You will not be disappointed!

Disco eterno, Zoom, Efecto doppler, etc. No estoy exagerando nada.

I had heard that Soda Stereo lead-man Gustavo Cerati said he never wanted to do English-language songs. Why? Perhaps it's because his lyrics would lose their pure, untainted splendor. Good for him. If you understand Spanish and love pop-rock/alternative, seek out this offering by the Argentine trio. From the rocking "Ella Usó Mi Cabeza Como un Revolver" ("She Used My Head Like a Revolver"), "Paseando Por Roma" ("Cruising Around Rome"), and "Angel Eléctrico" ("Electric Angel") to the sultry melodies of "Efecto Doppler" ("Doppler Effect") and "Crema de Estrellas" ("Cream of the Stars"), Cerati's musical talents surpass physics as practiced by Einstein.

Once again this band has outdone itself. They broke up in 1997, but decided to leave us with this great album, Sueno Stereo. I always said that Soda Stereo was ahead of its time, and this album is evidence of that. Even 10 years after this recording, this album still sounds like it may been recorded yesterday because it sounds so fresh and modern, unlike anything you've heard before. I highly recommend everyone, whether you're a Soda fan or not, to purchase this album. You will not regret it.

The U2 of Latin America. I asure you that you wont regret buying this CD. If you are looking for real talent and awsome sonic experimentation you must buy Sueno Stereo. This CD is a very Chill compilation of cool refreshing Alt-rock-pop tunes, and although it for the most part mellow, the CD as a whole has a very frim backbone that makes it a solid piece of work. Play it ludley. enjoy!
