A repeated success, a dreamy album,

After his last CD CON LA METROPOLITAN LONDON ORCHESTRA, in which only one song was new, we thought that Montaner had reached his highest peak and wasn't able to top his past hits. But this album was a very pleasant surprise. Not only the songs are wonderfully written, and the music is as romantic and melodious as it can get, but Ricardo's voice is at his best. One of the songs, BESAME, was sung by Ricardo in a top Colombian soap opera (BETTY LA FEA), widely watched throughout Latin America, and not only did it automatically became a #1 hit, but also almost every "lover" used it to gain back his significant other's love back (as it happened in the soap opera). The rest of the songs are so beautiful, that it is very hard to pick one over the others. Every song is a "Side A" item. I enthusiastically recommend it.

"Sueño Repitido" (literally Repeated Dream) is an excellent album from the Argentinian born, but Venezuelan raised singer and composer Ricardo Montaner. Filled with ballads, music that is European influenced and such, "Sueño Repitido" is a Latin music sensation and hit. Ricardo Montaner is at his best here with a number of excellent hits; those that stand out in my mind include "La Clave Del Amor", "Resumiendo", "Bésame", "Cada Quién Con Cada Cual", "Vivo En El Mar", and "Moliendo Café". What I find funny is that two of the three fastest songs on the album, "Rey Sin Trono" and "Vivo En El Mar" were all originally Italian songs, that Ricardo Montaner translated and sang in Spanish, and "Moliendo Café" is originally a Portuguese song from Brazil. Besides that, Ricardo Montaner has a great voice, and excellent composing abilities since he wrote all but two or three of the songs, and I hope his next album is just as good as this one.

Montaner did it again. This CD is a wonderfull peak to Ricardo's work. Romantic balads for any one. One coment to one previous review, Moliendo Cafe is not an italian song. It is one of the most played venezuelan songs in the world and the credits to Hugo Blanco are in the CD's cover.

That's all I can say for this new CD of Montaner. I bought it right when it came out, on the day before Valentines and after listening to the CD for a day, I knew that it was gonna be the best gift for one of the most important woman in my life. Since all his albums are excellent, hard to say that it's his best. Not because it lacks quality but because it just as great as the rest. Songs like "Cada Quien Con Cada Cual" reminds you of his beginning with songs like "Debo Cambiar De Amor", the CD features 2 great boleros "Besame and Resumiendo", other great ones are "La Clave Del Amor" "Sueño Repetido", olvidalo, they're all masterpieces. A relaxing CD that makes you travel entre el amor, desamor, la soledad, alegria y felicidad con el Maestro Montaner de piloto y Bebu Silvetti de co-piloto. Buckle Up!!! You know what? Just buy and you'll know what I'm talking about...

The cd is fantastic.I have been a fan of Ricardo Montaner since I was a littl girl. I would sit in front of the radio and play his songs over and over. I still cant get enough of his music. His voice gives you goosebumps! That is how wonderful this man is. What makes him even more great is the fact that he writes most of not all of his songs. My favorites on the cd are Sueño Repetido, La clave del Amor, Resumiendo, Besame, and Rey sin trono.

I am a longtime fan of Ricardo Montaner but I found this album too homogeneous and too much like his old albums. He needs to do something new or different. The songs sound remarkably alike, so it gets boring to listen the whole album through. He does have a beautiful voice, though his voice was realy in bad form in the song "Cada Quién Con Cada Cual" -- he sounded hoarse or tired or exhausted -- it was painful to listen to. I guess I'm somewhat disappointed since this album doesn't come close to his Exitos & Algo Más, which is far and away his best CD.
