Format: Paperback
This story was gripping and the characters were so real. The book provides an informative and easily read view of the heartbreaking reality: the product of domestic violence. It was real life--no frilly happy endings--and that was important to me. The psychologist was amazing--professional, steadfast and spunky, vulnerable, flawed, yet genuine.

I would use this book as a teaching tool.

Hard not to feel for all the characters in this story impacted by domestic violence, all are victims. This story gets to the heart of a family supported by love and destroyed by aggression. Shows there are many players and no easy solutions to quell the violence in our society. Both smiles and tears in this story.

a very clear look at the not-so-clear affects of familial violence on children. this book shows that what goes into a child will come out, one way or another
