I first listened to Suga-Lik this summer, and I was instantly hooked. Clare Quilty's hardcore lyrics and angelic voice create the ultimate contrast. These songs are great to listen to after the break-up (or before, or during) and offer a sweet and sour girl-powered approach to indie-rock. This CD is intense and proves that boys aren't the only ones who know how to jam the hell out of it!

I know one of the band members and I must say, this group is amazing. Their style is more, heavy guitar, with alot of good vocalization. Mostly, they just rock. Their lyrics are amazing, and the music flows well. They are just a good dance and sing to band. I have had the honor to meet most of the band in person, and I have recived Strong, their first cd. Suga-Lik is just well thought out and well planned. I recommend them. If you are ever in the vicinity of DC or Charlottesville when they are playing, I do recomend you see them live.

that this disc first came out. I heard it on the radio in Atlanta in 1998, went to Tower Records and bought it straight-away. It is an awesome disc from end to end. Well, I noticed that the disc wasn't in the jacket that I still had (like a dozen or so of my discs), I assume my ex took it, as she was a big fan as well, so I just bought it again last week. It is every bit as good as I remember. The vocalizations are just so hot on this disc it sends a shudder right up my spine. Most Highly Recommended.

I felt bad that no one has reviewed this CD! I have only heard one song from it (i don't own this cd) and that was 'Hey Joey Jane'<---that's a really cool song. You don't really hear too many female groups that sound this good with a tight band.
