I bought this product for my 8 year old daughter for Easter and she loved it. She has an American Girl doll and wanted a pet to go with it. We also have a real dog named Sugar so when I saw that American Girl had a dog that's name was Sugar it just seemed to good to be true. However, on the American Girl website this product was on back order for months. So I went to Amazon and found it. The product came directly to my home and exactly matched the description that was given. I couldn't have asked for anything better :)

This dog is the same size as the Sugar pet found at the American Girl store or website. You just have to fluff it out. But this dog does not have the name collar. The American Girl sells the Sugar replacement collar for $3 but charges $4.95 for shipping. They do not carry the replacement collars in the store. So if you are getting this dog for a girl who really cares for the Sugar name collar, then you are really not saving much money with this package because the American Girl store sells the dog with the collar for $20. The postcards are nice, but my daughter cares more for the dog with the collar than the postcards.

This is of course a great product from American Girl. The Post card book was adorable and the dog was pretty much the same as the other ones we have bought from American Girl. I think that Sugar was a little smaller then the one you can buy only from AG, but it was the same quality. The only problem I had with it was the fur was really crushed and messed up. Using a little brush it smoothed out, but it still has a few kinks. My daughter however doesnt care!

Very adorable! I bought it for my daughter for Christmas (2010) and I think it's great! It was cheaper than I would have gotten from the actual American Girl store, so that's a bonus!

My niece loved this little dog, and it seemed to be well constructed. It comes with a little book, and a brush to keep the fur neat. Very cute.

My daughter really wished for this pup for her 7th birthday and she got it....but he really isn't as cute as the picture. The hair is all over his eyes and nose and she is always frustrated that she can't see them! We've tried lots of things to keep the hair away....and I think I'm gong to cut it. Also- the picture sort of gives the impression she comes with a book- and she does- but it's not a story- it is some post cards....which is a little weird. It's kind of a disappointing present for how much it was.....

My daughter loves this adorable pet and has endless fun and imaginative play with this and her other dolls. It is wonderful addition the the American girl world. I also used it as a reward for good behavior and she waited for this in the shipping and jumped at the sight of it.

This is from the popular collection of American Girl dogs assortment. My kids were enthusiastic about receiving it, although I did not realize this was such a small stuffed animal. The accompanying sticker and postcard book is a nice accompaniment.
