Book Description

January 13, 1989
It happened in exotic Hawaii, on the eve of Pearl Harbor. It was there, for one brief night, that Marjorie Grannon gave in to her passion for the soldier she loved. But the bombing began - and everything changed. Marjorie, pregnant and unwed, gave birth to twin boys nine months later, keeping one child and giving the other up for adoption. And so begins the sweeping story of two brothers who never knew the other existed until many years had passed, the story of Ward Austin, the adopted son of a wealthy sugar plantation owner, a boy raised in luxury who would grow up driven by ruthlessness and greed, and his twin, Dan Callaway, who would be raised in a vastly different world. Fate would bring them together in a plan so devious, so fraught with danger, that it would define their lives, their loves, and their passions forever.
