5.0 out of 5 stars RAW Sugar - Better Health! February 13, 2013
Amazon Verified Purchase
RAW Sugar is much better than whit can sugar, because it is in its "raw" state, i.e., no preservatives or chemicals, such as Sulfur Dioxide, which is used for bleaching reasons are added, then phosphoric acid, which is used in rust removal (OMG, lol), and calcium hydroxide, which is used in mortar, plaster, sewage treatment, brake pads, pesticides, then it is thusly filtered via a bed of carbon, crystallized several times in a vacuum, and inevitably, left out to dry; jutxaposed to RAW Sugar, which is made via the Sugar cane, pressed and mixed with lime juice/liquid, which is then reduced through natural evaporation; this is followed by spinning the crystals in a centrifuge to separate them, then lastly, it is left out to dry. Plus, RAW Sugar tastes a lot better as well; it does not make one jittery either, as does the chemical-laden aforesaid alternate.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this for cooking February 27, 2013

My favorite brand because it is consistent and doesn't clump up and the price point is good. Great in baking for a little sharper flavor than the finer sugars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great amount of sugar for the price
The 6 lbs of sugar was a great price and good quality. I can't find this size locally so am glad I can get more than a small box of sugar in the raw for such a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never tried, now I will always keep in my pantry!
This sugar adds so much for flavor to everything, especially my coffee. Puts white sugar to shame - it now seems completely tasteless.
