Better than the first,,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Sugar Sugar Rune 2 (Paperback)
I'd have to say, volume 2 of Sugar Sugar Rune was better than the first. You get to see Chocolat back in the Magical World in this volume, take a glimpse at her friends, etcetera. There is more of a serious plot in this than the first, as Chocolat gets involved with Queen Candy(Vanilla's mother) and dangerous Pierre(who was so close to stealing her heart, but, luckily for Duke, her sarcastic yet mysterious familiar, he saved her.) Really cool! But reading the first helps before you go onto this one. Don't start here first.

awesome mahou shoujo (magical girl) manga!!,
By Watanabe Poemi "Poemi-chan" (New York United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sugar Sugar Rune 2 (Paperback)
Chocolat and Vanilla are best friends competing to become the next queen of the magical world. Since they're both doing their best, they're not seeing a lot of each other, but there is a very big difference between how they're doing! Vanilla, the clumsy, shy girl who's so unpopular in the magical world, is actually really popular in the human world! And the ever-popular Chocolat is the total opposite now. Fantasy meets comedy meets romance meets friendship in this manga and gives you so much more detail than the anime.
