Michelle Malone is one of the greatest!,
By WOLFMANROSS (Western N.Y.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sugarfoot (Audio CD)
Of all the CDs I have purchased this year, this one has got to be my favorite. This independent and literally brilliant artist never fails to satisfy with each new release. I could go on continuously about each track on this CD, but all I will really say to people who appreciate REAL musicianship, a wonderful voice, infectious songwriting and a terrific blues-rock sound is BUY IT! This CD will not disappoint and aims to please all the way. Also, just when I thought that the highly recommended CD "Beneath The Devil Moon" was Michelle Malone's crowning masterpiece, she releases the marvelous "Sugarfoot" nine years later, and in my opinion, the best CD of her career. Thank you "Moanin' Michelle" and hope to hear you play at Nietchze's in Buffalo soon!

Sugarfoot, yet another great product from Malone!,
This review is from: Sugarfoot (Audio CD)
Michelle puts out yet another amazing piece of work. Michelle's southern toned voice combined with her amazing guitar playing abilities makes this CD a must have! There is not one song on this CD that you will not want to jump into and follow along with. To completely appreciate this independent artist I encourage you to not only buy this CD but also a few of her pervious CDs. A few of Michelle's CD are a must have to start, fill, or finish any great blues collection you may have!

All Music Guide Review,
This review is from: Sugarfoot (Audio CD)
"The singer has rarely sounded better or more passionate. She's confident without an ounce of pretension and seems as relaxed and self-assured. If this raw, lean and mean CD brings Malone much deserved recognition, she's earned every ounce of it the hard way" - All Music Guide

I've been a fan since the beginning of Michelle's career and with every new album comes a deeper respect for her talent.
Her voice never sounds better...her guitar playing is off the hook! I guess life is good for her because it shows with this record... Get Sugarfoot folks!...You'll dance and cry and find out what it's like to feel soulful.... Malone brings it to ya!

Moanin's addictive,
By
This review is from: Sugarfoot (Audio CD)
Moanin' Michelle Malone's latest album "Sugarfoot" is absolutely incredible. It will take you through every emotion you have and it will keep your feet tapping. Miss Miss'ippi is so raw and powerpacked it is guarenteed to get you going. Beyond the Mountain is a beautiful heart wrenching lullabye. Tighten Up the Springs is fun and will get you dancing. I've been listening to this album constantly since I got it a few weeks ago. Michelle's musicianship and talent are undeniable.
Happy Listening!!!! Linnea in Minnesota

Shake your Sugarfoot,
By
This review is from: Sugarfoot (Audio CD)
Moanin' Michelle Malone wants you to shake your sugarfoot, and if you listen to this CD, you will. As the other reviews say, she improves with every album, and her guitar playing is masterful. I've seen her in concert twice in the past 6 months and I can't wait to see her again, she is so real, down to earth, and passionate about her music. I saw her first in 1989, and she's more beautiful than ever. Buy this CD -- and if you get it from her website michellemalone.com, she might get more of a cut... I love her, you just gotta!

If you've never seen her live, start with this album!,
This review is from: Sugarfoot (Audio CD)
Michelle Malone is the most dynamic performer I've ever seen! She has a style all her own, and what a style it is. She is a master musician, and is always pushing for more. This latest effort had me spell-bound from the first track. Several of the tunes compelled me to hit repeat and play them again, but the album flows so invitingly, that I just let the whole thing play....over and over. Get this collection to get an idea of her live performance, then check your local listings...chances are she is playing somewhere near you. Cindy Burke

Brilliant Artistic effort brimming with soul and energy,

I'm new to the Michelle Malone fan base. I heard first heard her in early 2007 while listening to WNCW in North Carolina. Since then I've seen her live twice and bought this CD. Sugarfoot has been played straight through more times than I can count. Hours of enjoyment. I liken it to a fast and twisting ride on a Southern highway. There is not a bad song on the CD and everyone I've turned on to it has been equally impressed. This gal is a hard working creative song writer and touring musician who has honed her craft to incredible heights. Buy it . Listen And you'll put Moanin' into your most played list ! - Jack
