I love the yarn but after I bought it from Amazon, I found the same yarn for less at a craft store chain.

Loved the colors and worked up nicely but when washed the red ran and colored the whole thing pink. I tried
bleaching it to remove the pink and the green totally disappeared.

I paid $10.34 (including tax and shipping) for this tiny skein of twine. It was awful and split when I was working with it. What a waste of money.

When I saw this for sale on Amazon now, I ordered several for knitting dishclothes for Christmas. Great idea to buy now, so you are not in a hurry to use when Christmas comes along! Yike!!! Christmas IS coming! The yarn is 100% cotton, which is ideal for how it is to be used. Also, I believe Amazon is the only place offering this holiday yarn now. I checked several web sites (including sugar 'n Cream) and was not able to find yarn for the upcoming holiday.
In my opinion, if you wait until November or December, the mfg. will have sold out, and you will have to wait for a new batch of yarn. Either that, or time restraints will make it that what is supposed to be a leisurely, put together gift, turn into a 'pressure' giver, who does not need the additional stress over the holidays. I am delighted I thought of buying it now, and thank Amazon for the forthought for making this holiday yarn available to purchase in July! Flo Stengel |
