Get it. You won't regret it., October 3, 2003
This review is from: Sugartooth (Audio CD)
Let me just put it this way: this CD has been in my "regular rotation" rack for around nine years now. This CD and I go back a ways... a great album that the masses never really caught on to. My personal favorite song on the album is Sheffield Milestone... great song. Good album, start to finish. But like the other guy said, you'll probably end up skipping Shine Boy. Their sound kind of reminds me of old Black Sabbath. It just smacks you down with awesomeness. It's really a shame these guys didn't put out more albums. This stuff is way better than a lot of the music that was popular back in the day... I guess there was too much rockin' going on back then for enough people to pay attention to these guys. Yeah, but like I said... get it. You won't regret it (unless you listen to crap).

Sugar sugar sugar, December 1, 2007
This review is from: Sugartooth (Audio CD)
Aptly named, the first Sugartooth cd is one of the sweetest rock albums/cd's to ever grace the human ear. I have had this cd since 1994 (stolen once, bought it again) and it has been one of the most regularly played cd's in my collection of over 300. I listen to it at least once or twice a month...just a phenomenal mix of perfect melody and deep bass guitar and drums. I hate that they were soooo over looked at the end of the "grunge rock" craze, tho they can't be put into that mold. They combine old Led Zep and Soundgarden into a mix that just reaches over the years and never sounds old. If you like grunge rock, classic rock, or any form of good metal-based rock, you will love this cd for years to come. If I had to give up all of my cd's except for one, this would be my keeper. I know "Shine Boy" (track 9) has always received criticism for its totally different sound/vocals, but it really rounds out the cd.
Overall, this cd was one of the finest ever created. Don't miss out if you can get your hands on it.

Another Lost 90's Classic, March 7, 2007
This review is from: Sugartooth (Audio CD)
The best 90's heavy music that got lost between the demise of Grunge and the advent of Nu-metal (and are related to both). Sugartooth, Only Living Witness, Chum, Sex Love & Money, New Idol Sun, Mindfunk (the "Dropped" album. You can pick them all up here for between .01 cent and 5 bucks. Great bands that just got lost in the shuffle between trends. You can have yourself a big modern metal feast on the cheap! If you like Soundgarden, Kyuss, Godsmack...do these.
