Something different from Chicago, July 23, 2007

Despite the hyperbolic description, Outerlimitz really are unique, apocalyptic visionaries in the Chicago underground hip-hop scene. Qwazaar is without a doubt the stand-out voice in this project and in all actuality, he is the best emcee associated with the Galapagos 4 indy label. The dark and heavy production of Silence in combination with the hard hitting and raw vocals of Qwa and He.llsent make this little known gem well worth a look. Its been about 6 years since a Qwazaar solo, we probably should hope for a sophomore release.

This is not "safe" hip hop, October 3, 2005

If you are looking for something new, something crazy and something that will allow you listen all the way through and ENJOY yourself doing it- then "Suicide Prevention" is something FOR YOU! If you love and appreciate hip hop then you should really dig this album, but remember, these guys are not ladi-dadi at all, be ready for some real and raw "musicscapes" that you can MOVE to. If you are not a fan of hip hop and you listen to experiemental, rock, alternative, goth, ska or whatever then you too may actually like this album and find it's uniqueness inspiring. This album transcends and expands today's typical boundaries. You must have this in your collection.
