My introduction to Andy Riley was the 2011 Bunny Suicides calendar I stumbled across at Borders a year ago (sigh, I miss you Borders). I couldn't wait for the 2012 calendar, because I'm a giant nerd and I like to decorate the heck out of it with stickers, marking birthdays and movies coming out and whatnot. I only took one star off the 2012 calendar (and I doubt this has anything to do with Andy Riley) because they start the first day of the week with Monday!!! What?!! I'm used to calendars starting the week off with Sunday, then Monday, etc. But no, this calendar starts with Monday! At first I thought the dates were wrong (Thanksgiving is on a Wednesday in 2012? Huh?), but no. Then I was hoping maybe just one month was printed this way...hehe.

I still love Andy Riley (and own all of his books like a good little fan), but this calendar is going to throw me off for an entire year. Why, Calendar Gods, why?!!

perfect size, perfect pics, i adore it!!!!!!!! It allows makes the whole family laugh when they go to put up their activities, and have taken to putting post it notes on the pictures themselves with hilarious comments. Anything that brings a busy family together is wonderful.

I bought this calendar a few weeks ago and just opened it today to replace our 2011 version of Bunny Suicides. The weeks on this calendar start on Monday; where I live, the week starts on Sunday. This would have been our 3rd year with the Bunny Suicide calendars, but with the days not in the correct order, it is useless to me. Hopefully I can find a normal version somewhere that has Sunday as the first day of the week.

Don't get me wrong, the art on this calendar is great; however, the weeks start on Monday instead of Sunday. This would seriously mess me up with all the deadlines I write on my calendar. If you really depend on glancing at your calendar for stuff, and are accustomed to starting with Sunday, DO NOT BUY.

Andy Riley is wonderful in the way each month is compeltely unique and hilarious. This is worth every cent, and is certainly a great talking point when seen hanging on the cubicle wall (if it's appropriate for your work that is). It happily resides in my kitchen at home and provides a quick chuckle every time I look at it. It never gets old. Ever. I dare you to break the mold and buy this cheeky and fun calendar.
