Nice Tent, June 14, 2009
This review is from: Suisse Sport Fit 3 Person 7x7 Feet Dome Camping Tent with Window (Misc.)
Suisse Sport Fit 3 Person Tent. I Just used this tent for a five day camping trip in the Tennessee mountains. It went up easy and stayed dry during a heavy down pour. Saying it is a 3 person tent is a bit of a stretch. I can see 2 people using it fairly comfortably but 3 would be very tight. Also, due to the slant of the sides, if you are over 6 feet tall your head and feet may hit the walls. For 1 or 2 people under 6 feet tall this is a good product for the money.

Looking for a new tent, December 23, 2009
This review is from: Suisse Sport Fit 3 Person 7x7 Feet Dome Camping Tent with Window (Misc.)
Bottom line: There's a reason this tent is so cheap. Don't buy it pretending it is something it is not. This is now my child's play thing.
The reason I'm rating this so low is because I finally had a chance to take this tent out under different contitions. We took it hiking (don't do this-- it weights almost 7 lbs.!)to the highest point in Utah. We had all-day blowing rain. When we came back, we had puddles in our tent. Puddles! The three of us were all completely shocked, we looked for a long time for the culprit, but water was just oozing in from everywhere. The walls were absorbing it, dropplets were coming down from the seams (which are NOT taped), the window ties and the fly ties would drip water off them into the tent. The fly simply is not sufficient to keep out water. We finally used an emergency blanket for the fly.
Now that I've made my complaints, I'll tell you why I didn't rate it with one star. I found this tent for a steal at a sports store, I think it was $20. I remember distincly thinking, "For only $20, it doesn't really matter how good it is." Shame on me. I have used it lightly over the course of four years, so that says something. This tent was most often used in tail-gate camping in the extreme heat and sand of Southern Nevada. It holds up OK in wind and keeps out sand. I think 7'x 7' are decent dimensions for 3 people, but as a 6-foot man, my head and feet do bump into the walls since the walls are slanted inward.
