Typical JT... dynamite song with a funky R&B twist that pops. You can't help but dance wherever you may be.

4.0 out of 5 stars Justin Timberlake presents 2013's first great pop song January 31, 2013
Format:MP3 Music
This review is a copy of the one I posted on a blog I write for (Radio Creme Brulee Blog). I figured I should mention this before I dive into the actual review. Now, that I've said that, here goes:

I do have to preface this review bu saying that in the past, I have been fairly unapologetic for my absolute disdain of former N Sync member Justin Timberlake. It is fair to say that his new single "Suit And Tie" (featuring Jay-Z) will change that.

It has been six and a half years since Justin Timberlake's last solo album "FutureSex LoveSounds". The album proved to be a big win for Justin. It also featured his incredibly trashy and musically void hit single "Sexyback" (songs like these make us discount Justin's artistic merit!). A gap of over six years is enough to make an artist yesterday's news. George Michael learned this the hard way when he waited six years to release his career masterpiece "Older" in 1996. Fortunately, Justin Timberlake knew exactly how to remain in the public eye. He featured on several singles (e.g. "4 Minutes" by Madonna) by other artists and also featured in prominent roles in movies such as "Social Network". This makes the fact that his last album was released ages ago quite forgivable in the eyes of the mainstream music consumer. It also acts as a catalyst in generating anticipation for his new album slated for release this year.

As I hit the "play" button on the new Timberlake single, I was already crafting a harsh review in my head.

Not as good as what he put out 6 years ago, but alright for a return. I wouldn't turn it off but wouldn't search it out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It! March 10, 2013
By Joanne
Format:MP3 Music|Amazon Verified Purchase
Suit and Tie brings back memories of music from the past. It is so nice to listen to music that doesn't glamourize violence or all about sex. It is music any age could llisten to.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the vesion without Jay-Z July 31, 2013
Format:MP3 Music
This is not the version without Jay-Z.

This song was great without him and still is. Why must rappers and producers think that every R&B or POP song needs a rapper on the track?

By the way, Kanye, the version of E.T. without you sounded better. Just my opinion...

3.0 out of 5 stars JT is great
It would be better if J ay Z wasn't in it. I hate rap music . It is not music and takes away from the song.

Good band, good song, wish all of amazon's mp3 downloads weren't so expensive. I can't believe they are making me type this many words to publish. Lame.

5.0 out of 5 stars Suit & Tie featuring Jay Z
This is such an awesome song. Really enjoying it! JT has knocked it out of the park with his latest album. Hope they don't play it to death on the radio & spoil it for me!

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't Like the Beginning of the Song
I didn't realize the beginning of the song would be a bunch of cusswords, I somehow thought they would be interspersed throughout the song so I wouldn't notice them as much. Read more
