Book Description

Frustrated landscape painter Delaney Forbes finally quits her day job and is free to escape her stifling home town of Buttermilk Falls, Ontario. Nothing can stand in the way of her dream of a year spent painting in Paris -- nothing except an inopportune fire that temporarily compromises her finances, followed by a lucrative short-term job offer from handsome hotelier and absolutely confirmed bachelor Trey Sullivan. While living in adjacent penthouse suites, Delaney dreams of painting in Paris and Trey determines to avoid the career-killing ties of love and marriage, goals immediately jeopardized by their mutual attraction. But their agreement to a no-strings romance soon falters as the pair begins to realize the depth of their feelings for one another. They promise not to stand in the way of each other's goals, but their creativity and ambition come at a price that might prove to be too steep. A Suite Life is the second book in the Suite Love Series by Sue Gibson.

Editorial Reviews

From the Author

A Suite life is the second book in my Suite Love Series.  Built on the shores of the pristine Loon Lake, The Nirvana Hotel provides the backdrop to all the books in this sweet romance series.  Buttermilk Falls, the local village, is populated with quirky but lovable characters that pop up in all three books.
In this book, a sassy landscape painter and a handsome hotelier are determined to remain committment free.  Really?
Relax, breathe deep, smell the pines....   These clean romance stories are perfect summer reading --on the beach or the dock!

My first time reading this author's works and I liked it very much - just enough of love, sex, story, etc.

2.0 out of 5 stars bland December 15, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was a pretty cookie cutter, short experience. I feel a little bad writing a negative review, because a main theme of the story was that putting art into the world is a scary and personal experience. However this book just did not hook me at all. By the end I was flipping pages just to be finished with it. My main problem was that I didn't believe the characters in the " romantic" relationship. In a romance story that connection is the most important thing. But there was no connection between Trey and Delany beyond friendship, kissing, and a whole lot of cliches. I didn't believe it when they said I love you. Disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Light Pleasurable Read Rich in Detail May 22, 2013
By C.Raby
A Beautiful setting rich in detail--gives the reader a true sense of rural Ontario. A sweet and charming love story. Delaney and Trey are wonderful three dimensional characters that truly come to life. A light pleasurable read perfect for the cottage or an afternoon snuggled on the couch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great escape March 6, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm always on the lookout for romances set in unfamiliar places--unfamiliar to me, anyway--and this one was a sweet surprise.

The book really is sweet. The characters are likable and smart, their romance is slow and simmering (without anything graphic if that's your preference), and the setting, in a gorgeous lakeside hotel in rural Canada, is fantastic. The cover of this book really doesn't do it justice. Imagine a cover more like those for Robyn Carr's Virgin River series--pastoral, rugged, romantic.

The heroine is a young painter struggling to get her mojo back, which I can relate to. I liked how Trey, the workaholic hotel-exec hero, was so supportive--not some kind of alpha jerk, but a truly decent guy you want to find happiness. And they were perfect together.

Now I want to visit rural Ontario. I hope she writes more in the series; I might have to settle for that.

5.0 out of 5 stars A delightful escape! February 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
With warmth and gentle humour, Sue Gibson follows up on the lives and loves of the characters brought to life in "A Suite Deal" with her second book, "A Suite Life". For a romance novel of friendship, love, and picturesque settings, go no further! Once again, Sue does not disappoint. Let's hope we will see more engaging stories from her.

5.0 out of 5 stars A 'Suite' read January 11, 2013
I read 'A Suite Life' with great pleasure. It was placed in Ontario, in an area I was familiar with, which made it fun to revisit. The story was just a real pleasure to read. I look forward Sue's next novel with anticipation.
