Omega's classic, March 2, 2005
Omega is the most popular abroad hungarian rock band. It originates late 60's and still exists! This album sounds like typical rock from late 60's, early 70's. It consists a long suite splitted in smaller part, the way Genesis or Pink Floyd did it. Most worth to note are the begining of suite "Ebredes" and song "En elmegyek" ( I'm leaving )- two slow pieces which are very beautifull to me ( their two best melodies ). The musicans are OK, vocal is hungarian, keyman is one of my favourites. Check it out!

Long Past Due!, March 11, 2007
Cruising Amazon's enormous rock music listings is like digging for treasure. And, Boy, did I find it this time, in Suite by Omega. The singing is in Hungarian, but that doesn't detract from the quality of this music one iota. When this album first came out, thirty-four years ago, this enthusiast could easily see these guys were right up with the best of Western hard rock--a little Uriah Heep, a lot of Deep Purple, but ALL Omega.
All 12 tracks are noteworthy, and I can't single any out from the WHOLE (which is a good concept to use since each cut dissolves into the next.) Versatility is the word--a little prog, some guitar rave-ups, a taste here and there of organ and mellotron, and some glorious Beatles-type singing.
I wonder what these boys are doing now?--five Hungarians THAT committed to rock back in 1973. God love 'em!
