This review is from: Sukarno: An Autobiography (Hardcover)
This autobiography "as told to Cindy Adams" benefits hugely from having been told to a pretty woman, who combined being a tough-as-nails New Yorker with being a female, and therefore not immune to Sukarno's enormous charm. Disarmed by her evident empathy, Sukarno tells more about his real thoughts, feelings and motives than he might otherwise have done in what was, for him, a book designed to woo the West in the waning days of his long and turbulent reign.
