Gordon is the gold standard for Soviet/Russian aviation books,

Yefim Gordon's work for Aerofax is consistantly the best aviation work published on Soviet/Russian aviation. Continuing his Aerofax series, Gordon and his usual contributers have produced the definitive volume on the Sukhoi Su-24 FENCER strike aircraft.
With a treasure trove of pictures, designs, and information from his personal collection and from the Sukhoi OKB, Gordon details the development of the FENCER model from its initial prototype days as a delta and fixed swept wing aircraft to its ultimate design as a variable geometry wing. Everything you ever wanted to know about this magnificent aircraft is within. Details include modification and testbed aircraft, as well as status of FENCER in Russian, Ukrainian/CIS air forces, as well as export customers. Gordon inlcudes an excellent couple pages on the FENCER in combat in Afghanistan and Checnya are included. This is another volume in which you can't go wrong. |
