This is the second book by this author that my nine-year-old and I read together after browsing tortoises at Petco. (The first was the one titled Russian Tortoises.) Both books are jam-packed with useful info on care and feeding, as well as striking photographs. The books held my attention, but they were also easy enough for my son to understand. He learned a ton from reading them, though. We both did.

Good info on all things needed to keep a tortoise. And yes it was more related towards these two. Good to start with before you decide on getting one.
