About the Author
E. J. PIROG has been keeping a large group of reptiles with a special focus on tortoises for over 30 years, including leopards and sulcatas. He frequently writes and lectures on turtle-related topics and is the author of Complete Herp Care: Russian Tortoises. He lives near Atlanta, GA with his family and a herd of tortoises.

This is the second book by this author that my nine-year-old and I read together after browsing tortoises at Petco. (The first was the one titled Russian Tortoises.) Both books are jam-packed with useful info on care and feeding, as well as striking photographs. The books held my attention, but they were also easy enough for my son to understand. He learned a ton from reading them, though. We both did.
