I was unsure about buying a small can, but this product was recommended by the embroidery sewing machine website that I follow. The product does extremely well. I can spray it indoors with little fume. It sticks and unsticks on command. The sewing machine needle never feels sticky or like it even notices the adhesive is there. I will buy a bigger can next time....but that may be a long time. It seems like this small can is going to last a long time.

Sulky Temporary Spray Adhesive is a wonderful product. I use it for temporarily holding patterns to fabric during the cutting process. It also works great for holding fabric together during the sewing process. I have never had any problems with residue.

This is a required component of the Decal Pro system. Their website is: [...]

It is intended as a permanent adhesive for micro-thin, laminated, dry-transfer decals. I cannot comment on it's longevity yet (plan on clear-coating afterwards), but can say that it takes considerable skill to use for this application. Too little Sulky, and the decal will break up. Too much, and it will bubble and tear. A perfect, uniform, thin coating is required. The product is dispensed very rapidly (likely ideal for fabrics, not so much for solid surfaces), so requires a spray distance of at least 12" from target. I'd say 14" or 16" may be better. Expect some overspray to drift along solid surfaces. The carrier propellant seems to dissipate before contact with target surface, so it seems to lay evenly on solid surfaces. (Which is likely the reason why this adhesive was chosen for this application.)

A spray-enamel clear was used on a test sample, and no lifting or orange-peeling was observed. It was mentioned that overspray can be cleaned up with 97% Isopropyl Alcohol, but this is unverified.

I use this to sew patches onto my hubby's uniforms and it doesn't leave any messy residue. I highly recommend it to those who don't want to pay someone else to do it for you. It makes the patches stick just enough but without a mess.

I am sure there is a happy medium between 'sticky' and 'gumming up the needle' but it has to stick well enough to hold the material down to the stabilizer for embroidery. This temporary adhesive did not stick very well. It did not gum up the needle, but the materials moved on the hoop within the sprayed area while the machine worked the design. I don't think using more would have helped, it just didn't seem sticky enough.

This product was recommended on a quilt blog that I read. I have used another well known product to spray baste my quilts but was concerned about multiple warnings on the label and the toxic fumes.

I was able to use Sulky in my house with no worries and had no problem with it gumming up my needle.

I'm very happy to have tried it, please with the results and will use it again in the future.

Can is a small size and price is a bit high but worth it for not having to be concerned about toxic fumes and flammability.

This works great!! I had fabric that I couldn't get pins to go through without snagging the fabric, so I was wondering what I could use. I bought this and it is awesome! It stuck the pattern to the fabric and I could reposition the pattern without respraying it. There was no residue and no odor. Great product.

Great product. I use this for embroidery and multipurpose sewing projects. It doesn't gum up my needles in either single or multineedle machines or serger. I've also used this product on USMC uniforms for perfect & precise placement of military patches and svc stripes; no visible or tactile feeling of residue on uniforms. This is my 5th can of this spray.
