Exceptional!, January 13, 2008
This review is from: Sullengrey: Cemetery Things (Perfect Paperback)
Collecting the first limited series, this Director's Cut provides an uncensored look at the town of Autumn's Grove, a quaint little town where your fears manifest, then devour you whole. With deleted scenes and creator commentary, along with a new short story - this trade is perfect for anyone who dares to gaze into the abyss. High recommended for fans of DC's VERTIGO imprint.

Fantastic!, March 22, 2009
This review is from: Sullengrey: Cemetery Things (Perfect Paperback)
A friend loaned me the 4-issue set of "Cemetery Things" and, while never a comic reader before, I was immediately hooked. This is no ordinary comic: it melds goth and humor into an extremely compelling universe. The story itself is rich with intertwining plot/time-lines and unique twists. Gore, obviously a staple for a tale of horror, is well portrayed without feeling as if the creators have gone over-the-top; that takes talent. The artwork is beyond compare with its attention to detail; every time I read it, I find something new. The collected version available here gives fans even more to enjoy: a back-story to the town of Autumn's Grove, deleted scenes, interview/commentary, and some earlier sketches of the main characters. The sequel promises to showcase even more of their talent. I can't wait!
