The Sumdex looks like it will protect the PDA very well, but it has no inside pockets or slots for things such as business cards or credit cards. Also, it has a battery holder but no stylus holder. Its also a bit big for a Palm Pilot. Back in the box it goes.

I looked long and hard (web searching, store browsing) before I found this little honey at a Fred Meyer's store (for crying out loud).

For under 9 bucks, I now have my digital companion securely strapped to my belt. Its belt loop allows you to thread your belt through the loop. No snaps or velcro to worry about coming undone. Word of advice: strap it to the side of your body that has the belt buckle. This way, when you unbuckle your pants, it won't slip off the end of your belt. As long as you check the threads on its belt loop to make sure they're standing up to normal wear, this thing will never come off (unless you find yourself without your pants, that is).

It's slim, cushioned, and due to it's side-zippered design, when you swing your arms as you walk, there's no protruding top flap to brush against. I have the silver one and, although I first felt a little strange wearing it, I now find it quite comfortable and rather enjoy feeling a bit like a member of the Borg collective : )

I don't use the inner velcro attachment. I simply unzip the pouch about 1/4 of the way open to access my PDA from the top. My Palm IIIxe is very secure inside and doesn't shift around. The pack itself fits nicely on my hip and allows me to sit or walk without feeling like I'm being jabbed in the ribs.

I highly recommend this product. If it had inner pockets for credit, ID, or business cards, it would've ranked a "5".

I use this case to hold my iPaq and keep it protected. The case is very basic, no extra pockets or anything, but there is a pen/stylus holder that will hold a full size stylus.

One problem I have with it is that you need to stick double-sided velcro tape to your PDA for it to stay put. Since the iPaq has different expansion sleeves, I need to put this tape of each one of them and I'm not really crazy about sticking velcro tape on everything. Otherwise it's a good case for the price.

The Sumdex Padded Palm Wallet (Silver) is the answer to a prayer. When I rec'd my Palm IIIxe for a Christmas I was elated. After getting acquainted with it, I realized that I would need some decent exterior protection for my Palm. I heard many horror stories (i.e., a Palm dropping from an owner's hand and hitting the ground, a Palm falling into the toilet). My problem was to find something adequate for protection, small enough to fit into a small purse and not double as a wallet, and one that is reasonably priced. I shopped around for months looking for one that would fit my critieria.

As always, I came to Amazon, to shop around for a little of this and a little of that and decided to check into the electronics department. I must admit, initially I didn't see the Sumdex Padded Palm Wallet (Silver). I came a few weeks later to purchase the leather Sumdex Palm holder and I notice the silver Sumdex listed. I ordered it without hesitation.

I just rec'd it and it is quite a treat. It has adequate room, the batteries fit snugly in the case and it fits great into my SMALL purse. Not to mention, it is VERY attractive. This is an XLNT(!!!) buy.

If you are looking for the things I have listed above, this is the one. I notice the other colors (yellow and sapphire blue are the ones I know about) had sold out (I am sure AMAZON.com will replenish) but it just goes to show that this is a popular item.

This case is fits like a glove. This is an excellent case, in many ways superior to those priced in the $20 - $50 range, if not truly superior. I have yet to drop my Palm IIIc in it--hopefully, I never will--but it looks competent enough to protect it from damage.

The case is very firm, but absorbant. I'm told it's waterproof, or water-resistant--let's hope I never find out. I got the yellow one (or gold) and though the color doesn't look the same in real life as it does the Amazon.com picture, I still like how bright it is.

What I don't like is that it provides you with a velcro thingy to secure your Palm inside. No thanks! I refuse to deface my Palm with scratchy, nasty old velcro. I mean, if you put that velcro sticker on its back, that's forever. No sir. I'll just have to be careful opening the case, so that it doesn't fall out.

It's stylish, very modern-looking. If you want an inexpensive alternative to the other, very similar products for protecting your PDAs, this is your savior. At [the price], how can you go wrong?

I just got this case and for 5 bucks it is a great buy! I have a Visor and have no problems with the velcro attachment interfering with my hotsync..it actually improves my hotsync because now my Visor rests in the cradle and doesn't get stuck there like before. I placed the small velcro tab right under the Springboard door. THe case is firm and padded enough to offer enough protection yet not super bulky. It also has a strong belt loop on the back for easy carrying on your side. THe silver color gives it a sharp look and the battery slots are great to have for carrying some extra juice! All in all this is a great deal.

I purchased this product to protect my PlamIII. Since I have started using this product I have dropped my PalmIII onto a cement floor twice with the same results both time---absolutely no damage to my Palm (Whew! ). As an added plus, I love the belt loop on the back of the case. Its a nice feature not found on every model.

I think that this product is so great because it is very light so it does not add to the weight of the Palm. It Protects the Palm Organizer very well and you don't have to stumble over the price at all. Over all, I think that this is a very good product.

I bought this case to use with a Handspring Visor. Unfortunately the velcro that you use to attach the Visor to the case must be placed high enough to not interfere with HotSyncing. This means it must be placed on the Springboard module cover, which can slide off easily. I suppose that this would be a problem with any case which uses velcro to attach to the Visor, but if I had known I would have bought a different case. Overall its a fine case -- just not for the Handspring Visor.

It is great for the price... If it cost more than that I would not be so happy. The case is very durable and solid. My Palm IIIc fits very well and feels strong. I am not sure about the watertightness of this product but it is definitely splash proof. I don't like the velcro that is supposed to keep your palm in its place. So I just put the palm in the case and let it float in the case. If you want to carry your palm around in your hand and just use this case as a little more protection. It gives you more peace of mind, you don't have to worry about dropping it as much.
