5.0 out of 5 stars Symphonic Deathmetal At Its Best, September 4, 2004
This review is from: Sumerian Daemons (Audio CD)
This cd is the work of true genious. Everything about it is great. The vocals are phenomenal. The main vocalist produces an amazing low gutteral sound that is accompanied by background opera singers. The bass and drums work together to make a great booming sound. The orchestral and accoustic parts in this cd are truly breathtaking. I recommend this cd to anyone who is fond of music. It is a must have for metalheads like myself.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Reigning Kings of Symphonic Metal, December 17, 2003
By
Samhain666 (The Emerald Frickin' City) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sumerian Daemons (Audio CD)
This is the album that Dimmu Borgir wish they had put out with their Death Cult Armageddon. Dimmu is up there in my top ten favorite bands of all time, and until now, they were the kings of Symphonic Metal. After all, they are the progenitors of the Symphonic Black Metal sound, and I thought that the dark beauty that was Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia (their magnum opus) could not be beat. Turns out I was wrong. Septic Flesh has put out one h3ll of an intense album that is a masterful blend of many metal genres; black, death, goth, doom, a wee bit o industrial, and of course, the symphonic element that ties it all together. The production is gorgeously done, and the overall feeling is seriously massive. If you like extreme metal that challenges the "established boundaries", get this album!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars About A Band!!!, May 7, 2003
This review is from: Sumerian Daemons (Audio CD)
Like the stuttering Hugh Grant in a cliched Romantic comedy coming to an end, I Am at a loss for words. I know what 2 say, but simply CAN'T!!!
Other than this. Septic Flesh has done what so many thought couldn't be done: Perfected a genre that so many thought wouldn't be perfected with the 'Demise' of Emperor.
These Greek Masters will surely give D. Gorgir, and Cradle Of Filth a run for their money.
Originality, suspense, a creative energy. Love for the fans and a genius lyrics make this album a priority if Ur new 2 the genre or already a seasoned fan. If I get a management gig with these guys, America;s radios' will be playing "Sumerian Daemons". This album will have U spellbound and humming for years 2 come.
