1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money. June 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Unfortunately it is a "summary", and, not the book. It is not much of a summary at that. It is not even what I would call "Cliff Notes" level. The unabridged book is very good and what I was looking for. This is not worth the money. Sorry.

Amazon shows the book cover and it is very easy to assume that this is the ebook version. But it is not. It is a summary. Seems like a rip off

5.0 out of 5 stars The Foundation March 23, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
First Break all the Rules is the foundation for the research associated with Strengthsfinder. A Gallup product that I believe is more accurate and detailed in terms of determining who you are and how you should change or utilize the strengths, talents and skills you have. I have almost all of the books provided in this area. Some are good and some not so good but this is really the one to read if you want the history, research and foundation for the use of Strengthsfinder in your professional and personal life.

I have the hard copy and Kindle copy because I lost my sight in 2008 in one eye. I am challenged in the other eye but functional. I am a tremendous fan of Kindle and could not really function without it.

Enjoy your new foundation about yourself.

I really enjoyed this book. There were a lot of excellent concepts that really struck home with me. I am trying to leverage much of what I learned and read in my day to day life at work. I also see ways to improve my personal life at home. A really quick interesting read.

5.0 out of 5 stars What took corporate America so long? August 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have been in the work place for 50 years. All this time I have wondered why things are done the way they are. Administration tells the workers what to do and how to do it. Yet, administration doesn't do the work; how is it they know best how it should be done?

First Break All the Rules examines the "this is how it has always been done" mentality of management and gives a fresh perspective to doing things in a fresher, more common sense way. When I read this I felt as if someone had finally gotten into my head and said all the things I have been thinking and trying to say for half a century. It's a breath of fresh air that has finally gotten permission to invade the workplace. HOORAY!
