Nice Sunny Day Read,
This review is from: Summer Boys #4: Last Summer (Paperback)
Last Summer continues the story of the Tuttle girls, and their ever changing lives.
Ella becomes jealous when she sees a new flame going out with someone else, but that doesn't mean she's still in love with him. Kelsi returns to Pebble beach after her first year at Smith, with her roommate and boyfriend's sister. Her plans with her boyfriend completely change when she get's a surprise. Beth broke up with George a long time ago. And they've been well...not together. But things change when someone mysteriously appears at Pebble Beach. Jamie's back, but not the same somehow. She's been excited about going to Amherst in the fall, but somethings not right about it.

This book won't let you down! if you loved the other three books in the series you will without a doubt love this one. This isn't the typicall summer for the tuttle girls. They have all grown up so much since there first summer in pebble beach and in this book all their conflicts will be resolved. This book kept me wanting more and more. By the end of the series i had connected with these characters so much and i was sad that it was the end but it was a good wrap up. I am excited to start the summer girls series which is with the younger tuttle cousins! can't wait! this book is great i would highley suggest it!!!

The best of the series. All the conflict of the previous books really got revealed and settled in this outstanding finish to a pretty good series. I even skipped the 3rd book, After Summer because my local library lost it (well who ever checked it out never returned it) but anyways, I really didn't get lost and it was greta. And the ending was a suprise, I didn't expect ***** ***** ** **** ****. But thats a secret we shall not reveal.
Read this!

The Last of the Series,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Summer Boys #4: Last Summer (Paperback)
Hailey Abbott rounds out the Summer Boys series with many unexpected twists. As the Tuttle girls reunite in Pebble Beach they never realized how differently the summer would end. The Last Summer is coming to an end "but all Beth could think was: Everything is gone." Tensions are rising between everyone in Maine including Ella and Kelsi's new BFF, Beth and George, and Kelsi and Bennett. The way this summer ends will shock you more than anything that's happened with the Tuttle cousins throughout these books.
Last Summer wasn't my favorite from the series. Some parts happened really fast, and others seemed kind of drawn out. Abbott has a modern style of writing and incorporates a lot of detail all through the book. This book is best suited for girls around the age of 13 to 15. To enjoy this book to the fullest you'll probably want to read the other books in the series first, starting with Summer Boys. Although this was not my favorite book of the four, I think it ended the series well.

If you read all the Summer Boys novels, this is definately a good way to end the series.

In the last book of the steamy SUMMER BOYS series, Beth, Ella, and Kelsi are back in Pebble Beach for a summer to remember.
Beth and George are becoming friends, even though they are exes. Some people are just meant to be friends, but is there more to it? Kelsi and Bennett are truly in love except for the whole long-distance thing. Can Bennett have the internship that he wants -- and the girl? Or is it not possible to have both? Ella finally gets to see her own long-distance boyfriend, Jeremy, all the time and not just on weekends. But Peter, her old hookup, is bothering her a little too much. This is a fun summer beach read, but the ending is kind of sad. At the same time, though, it also has a good twist and is really unexpected. LAST SUMMER really is the last good romance of the summer. didn't like it,
This review is from: Summer Boys #4: Last Summer (Paperback)
i was really disappointed with this book. being the end of the series, i expected so much more. i thought that beth and george would go to college together, and tim and kelsi. instead, kelsi got together with boring bennett. and after all that drama she had, about the virginity issue, she just gives it up to bennett in a blink of an eye.
the first two books of the series were addicting, the third one it started falling apart, the fourth one it was way past waste of time. |
