Summer Chill is what a chill cd should sound like. It starts of at a good tempo and slowly descents into a chill out experience. Best tracks are Alex Cortiz's "Lounge Theme", Wah Mui's "You Don't Love Me", Stryke's version of the Bill Wither's classic "Ain't No Sunshine" and Moving Images "Mile's Mood" feat. Herb Alpert. A very wide range of smooth tracks on this comp. Everything from Trip hop to Celtic! It all flows well together however aided by subtle mixing. Stand out cuts include Stryke's gorgeous cover of Bill Wither's "Ain't No Sunshine" and Shantel's dub trip "All I Want"

Perfect music for summer sunset. A very cool and diverse collection.

...this CD covers the territory alright, starting off light and fresh - stirred-not-shaken - building a vibe that peaks with an
amazing piece, "Monkey Business" by Racoon...then the CD shifts gears entirely. First we are launched into a more serious, reflective tone, starting with Elak's hauntingly beautiful "Remember Me". With each successive track the mood changes, but inventively; seamlessly! Whodda' thunk the doleful "Ain't No Sunshine" would transition to Stony Hill's upbeat, funky and lowdown "12 O'clock Natty"?

The mixing is stellar on this CD, but I must say I was taken by surprise at first with the diversity of the song selection, especially perplexed with the finale, "Shinda Shima" by Mellow, which initially gave me a sour stomach. After a few listens, I've grown to like this little, obscure CD as much as any of the big "glamour" discs going for $35.00+.

Recommending music is tricky business, but if you like a vacation that takes you to 8 different destinations in just 13 tracks, give this one a shot!
