This review is from: Summer Fruit: A Country Garden Cookbook (Hardcover)
Every summer when the fruit begins to come in, this book comes off the shelf. Everybody loves the Plum Applesauce, and Apricot Orange Marmelade, and I can them for use through the year. The dessert recipes have been consistant winners, the beverages are fabulous and taste great without the alchohol. I have not been as happy with some of the main couse recipes, and have made modifications to fit my tastes and have enjoyed them after my changes. Beautiful photography too.

I own this and all the Country Garden series of cookbooks. They are all visually gorgeous, and all written by professional chefs. Each book surrounds a featured ingredient which is seasonal. I must admit that many of the recipes could be considered "chi-chi," but for cookbook collectors, this series is really wonderful. I'm sorry they stopped adding to these books, and very sorry that they are going out of print.
