Did Gerardo write these lyrics?, August 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Summer Girls (Audio CD)
I was wondering what happened to Gerardo after his 1991 hit "Rico Suave." Apparently, he has taken to writing songs for LFO--that's how stupid "Summer Girls" is. Forget about Chinese food making me sick, LFO makes me sick. It just proves that fifteen year old girls will buy just about anything.

This song is da bomb!, September 5, 1999
By A Customer

This song is so cool. I love LFO already, and this is the only song by them that I've heard so far. The band is hot (not only their songs, but their looks too) the song is rockin', and did I mention that the band is hot? they are. Five stars, 2 thumbs up, and all that stuff.

Whatever, August 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Summer Girls (Audio CD)
Okay, so let me tell you a little story..... One day my friend and I were in the car when all of the sudden LFO's "Summer Girls" came on. I looked over at my friend and said,"Why is an Abercrombie and Fitch commercial talking about chinese food?" I cannot believe that any of these people writing these reviews actually think this song makes sense. I'm not going to sit here and say that these 3 guys can't sing because I've never heard them sing. In thier song it sounds like they're talking or rapping or something!? This is just my opinion so if you happen to think this is a good song maybe you're deaf or something. Jess

Weird but Catchy, August 27, 1999
By A Customer

The first time I heard this, I thought, this is wack, rapping about Aber& Fitch. But then you here it a couple more times and these bastards get in your head! Plus it brings back some ol school memories. Not anything classic, but a good summer song that brings a smile to my face. I'm out, like these guys will be next year!

I am too sad right now to think up a witty title for this, August 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Summer Girls (Audio CD)
It's sad, really. I mean, it would be one thing for this song to simply exist in it's own suicidal dimension, not dragging anyone to the hungry abyss with it; but it insists on pressing itself upon our nation, seizing the nubile minds of our youth in its evil maw and condemning them to a lukewarm existence with candy-coated ideas of life. Even that I could handle, if not for the fact that this song seems singularly able to destroy any shred of dignity that modern music still possesses. Millions of teenagers now believe that this is the embodiement of quality music, and will never look further than this sort of drivel for their musical needs. Please, youth of America, do not whore yourselves out to this beast! You deserve better! Seek out John Cage, Phillip Glass, Charles Ives; Bach, Beethoven, Brahms; They Might Be Giants, Moxy Fruvous, and Tenacious D! There you will find true intuition, innovation, inspiration, and many more things that can be described with words ending in "-tion". The only word ending in "-tion" that describes this song is "regurgitation."

This song is incredibly stupid, August 22, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Summer Girls (Audio CD)
The US is getting really sad when it comes to music if this is the #3 song in the country. The entire song is stupid, and the only thing that is remotely good about it is the tune of it (very remotely.) It's one of those songs like "It's a Small World" that you can't get out of your head for a month, and by that time some other dumb song will be #3, or, most likely, considering the way things are going, #1.

This is one of my favorite songs!, August 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Summer Girls (Audio CD)
I love this song because I think it has a good beat and I like how it's so random. I think that our world needs a change from the different songs that just say "I love you, I love you, I love you." over and over again. I'm not going to buy this single, but I enjoy hearing this song on the radio.
