4.0 out of 5 stars Actually this rocks
I agree withthe other reviewers that this CD is lacking in liner notes and new material. What they don't mention is just how good it is. Etta sounds great, and these songs rock. For that reason I find it in my CD player almost as much as Etta Rocks the House. I picked it up really cheap, maybe you can too.

2.0 out of 5 stars At Least it's Etta... (1 & half stars)
Etta James is one of my all-time favorite artists. But this CD... well, it sure is nothing to get excited about. It is poorly edited from... well, I don't know if it is from one performance or from several - because there is no track information. No producer credits, no dates, no lyrics, no nothing. This is one step up from your average boot-leg CD. By the way, "Summer...

This piece was compiled so many times over it is not worth your time. Stick to Come In a Little Closer, Deep In the Night (if you can find it) or classic Tell Mama. I haven't heard a decent live Etta recording but I was spoiled by too many free shows at a small bar called The Stud in San Francisco.

This cd is not worth your time, or money, and it doesn't do Etta justice. She has to be the finest singer of our time and NO ONE alive can hold a candle next to her.

So don't waste your money on this CD - there are many more releases by Etta James that deserve your buck.

this is the same recording as Red Hot and Live with one more song. Also the same recording as Respect Yourself and Live (out of print on Tomato Records). This live recording seems to be reissued way to many times, I must assume that everyone owns the rights to this recording? Well at least it is cheaper then Red Hot and Live.
