I use this changing pad every day with my newborn son. I did not buy a cover to go with it and I don't think one is necessary. The material is waterproof and my son has already put it to the test several times, it wipes completely clean and we usually just put a cloth diaper down for his head and leave the rest of it open. If you buy a cover for it, be prepared to change it constantly (at least if you have a little boy) because it will likely get peed on on a daily basis! I believe the pad says that it has a slip proof bottom, however I have not found this to be entirely the case. I find that I can slide it myself at times when I am trying to shift my son's position - although he has not been strong enough to move it himself and we do have it attached to the wall behind the dresser as well. The pad is a good size and seems like it will be long enough for him for quite some time. Overall I definitely recommend this pad for anyone that doesn't want to spend the money for a changing table - ours works perfectly fine on top of a dresser.

My daughter just adopted two little boys 1 & 2 so back to diapers again. This time we purchased a dresser and placed the changing pad (which comes with anchoring straps) on the top and it works just great for both boys & saves Mommy's back. The pad is quite thick which is unlike many pads on the market which give little support during the changes. These are husky little guys & the pad is both long enough & supportive enough to be comfortable for the toddlers and to do the job well. A wise purchase indeed.

This changing pad is nearly perfect. It is thick for the baby's comfort and large enough to accommodate a 1 year-old. The bottom surface really sticks to the dresser top so I don't have to worry about the pad sliding around. The only drawback is the little indentations left by the quilting are difficult to clean if the baby has had a bowel movement on the pad itself. Not a frequent occurrence, but I do like a super-clean changing pad. This isn't an issue if you use a changing pad cover, which I do not. All in all, this pad is exactly what I was looking for.

After my husband nearly dropped our baby changing him directly on a dresser, I decided a contour changing pad would ease my mind. Just the curve seems to hold our wiggly, active 5 month old in place. We don't use the strap and recently cut them off since they were catching on the drawers of the dresser. I do use a changing sheet/pad on to of the pad for ease of cleaning. The price and size of this pad was ideal. Try it out.

We bought this as a second changing pad to keep downstairs. My son is 2 years old, and we change him on the floor using this pad. I love that it is longer than the pad on his old changing table, since he's too big for his changing table now. I can squeeze our regular changing pad covers on it but it's tight. My son flops down on it without hurting himself because it's so thick and sturdy. It does the job!

I bought this based on all the positive reviews. It is a nice changing pad. My changing table pad covers fit it nicely (Carters Super Soft Star/Moon Changing Pad Cover, Blue. Unfortunately, I'm not that impressed with it. I have it secured to the back of my changing table/dresser. A waterproof pad to lay on this is a must. While this changing table pad is mostly waterproof, it isn't completely waterproof. There is a quilted pattern woven into it, if your baby pees or poops directly on the changing table pad the liquid goes through the tiny holes and absorbs into the changing pad. Once inside these crevices, the accident is impossible to remove. It is unsightly. I can only imagine how unsanitary it is and how much bacteria must be growing in it. Even if you wipe up accidents immediately, it still is too late.

I wish I would have realized this was made out of polyurethane foam before adding it to my registry. It would have saved me from having to return it.

The surface of the changing pad tore at multiple places just after a few use . We had to replace it. It is very bad quality.
