From the Manufacturer

3D lite

Lightweight, On-the-Go Convenience

Air-Light & Compact

The 3D lite has an all-aluminum frame which means it is super lightweight yet incredibly durable. Weighing less than 12 pounds, it is one of the lightest strollers on the market. It has a compact, easy 3-step fold:

1. Lift the rear handle

2. Push the lever with your foot

3. Fold down and go!

With an auto lock and carry strap, it is ideal for carrying on the subway or through the airport.

The front wheels can either lock in place for navigating cobblestone roads and uneven surfaces or swivel for walking on smooth pavement and flat surfaces - precision steering for you and baby on-the-go!

Easy-to-Recline Seat with 5-Point Harness

Unlike a traditional “X” frame stroller, the 3D Lite has an open design and the easy-to-recline seat lays nearly flat, which is ideal for napping and on-the-go diaper changes. To recline the seat, press the red buttons simultaneously and lower into the proper position. Once your baby is done napping, you can sit them up by adjusting the seat back with just one hand.

The 5-point safety harness easily adjusts to 3 height positions as your child grows, and with the additional padding your baby will always have a comfortable ride.

Adjustable Canopy

The large, adjustable canopy will block your baby’s sensitive skin from harmful rays. In addition, the pop out sun visor provides even more protection on extra sunny days and is rated to block 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays.

Plenty of Storage

The extra-large storage basket is ideal for holding oversized diaper bags and purses, and the rear storage pocket is perfect for keys and cell phones. With an included cup holder, you will always have a place for your beverage or baby bottle.

Whenever I buy something, I read all the reviews and research A LOT. And even then I'm not sure I'm making the right decision. There aren't that many reviews for the Summer 3d Lite as it seems fairly new to the market, so I thought I'd try and do a comparative review in the hopes of helping.

I wanted a durable, lightweight travel stroller, a decent recline, good wheels/maneuverability, comfort, storage space, 5-point harness, and for it to be easy to fold/unfold. I wanted all this for the minimum price possible as I already have an UPPAbaby Vista and a Chicco Liteway (I previously used the Chicco for travel but I had to leave it behind for an international move as I opted to take the Vista - we do lots of walking, and it's much cheaper to replace an umbrella stroller!).

Some airlines/airports have strict weight limits on strollers that can be gate checked, and some airlines will automatically send the stroller to the baggage conveyor belts even if you gate-checked, so lightweight was essential.

Initially I was considering the First Years Jet Stroller, which weighs just 11 pounds. It has a 4* average rating from over 1100 ratings, AND costs under 45 dollars - seemed pretty good. But I went to try it in store and it was awful - no recline, wheels didn't work properly (i couldn't maneuver it on the floor - my son is 18 months and weighs about 25 pounds, about half the recommended max weight), awful sunshade, and my son wanted out! It felt cheap and flimsy so i looked at the reviews more closely - theme was that it was good for the price, and that the wheels are awful but people overlook that as it was so cheap. So whilst the Jet may be good/better than expected (for the price), I wanted something that was genuinely good, even if it meant spending a bit extra.

I LOVE this stroller. LOVE. I have no idea why it took me so long to find it (I think it's a new model?), but I am so glad I did.

I'm a bit obsessive about research, and I came to the conclusion that what we really needed was an UppaBaby G-Luxe so that my son could sleep in it and have good sun protection and also so that we could easily fold and carry it (hello shoulder strap). However, I was not down with the $220 price tag for a stroller that I knew we weren't going to use much when we were not traveling (we use our Britax B-Agile all the time).

I originally bought a Chicco C6/Capri but I was not happy with it, mostly because the recline feature on it is a joke - it goes back literally two inches from upright (which isn't perfectly upright, but still). I also didn't love the hard plastic handles.

I'm not quite sure how I found this stroller, but I am so glad I did. In a nutshell, it offers nearly all of the features of top-of-the-line strollers - most closely the UppaBaby G-Luxe - but at a fraction of the price.

- It's light - under 12 lbs, which is lighter than the G-Luxe.
- It truly reclines - it has four positions, from a pretty straight upright to a real recline, with two stops in between (it's not a sliding adjust - there are stops on the poles but there are two midpoints from nearly flat to upright, which I think is completely sufficient).
- It has padded handles - most of the umbrellas in this price range (including the Chicco c6) have hard plastic handles, whereas the high-end strollers have padded handles.
- It has a shoulder carry strap - this is critical to me for a lightweight travel stroller, because when I have to take my son out to get on the subway, I need to be able to carry the stroller hands-free.

I thought this was a decent stroller, light and easy to fold. The recline option was great for diaper changing on the go. After using it about 6 times (as it is our third stroller we only use to travel) the aluminum bars underneath cracked and it folded in on my 2 month old!!! I called customer service and they couldn't help me due to it being over a year since I bought it and when I asked to speak with a supervisor was told to call back later!

I just bought this and have yet to use it, but will tell you why I made the purchase. It is much roomier than most convenience strollers. I have a large and tall 2.5 yr. old. He is already 41 lbs, this is rated to 50 lbs. I went to the store to try out several strollers under $100. Most of the inexpensive strollers are already too small for him. On the First Years Jet he had no head support as his head was above the back of the stroller and his shoulders were cramped. On the 3-D he is supported when sitting upright and reclined. The 3-D lite has an ample sunshade, unlike many other strollers in the class. It maneuvers really well and he is higher up off the ground. It has an incredible recline, nearly full. The basket is big and accessible, unlike many. There is a carry strap that will serve us well on an upcoming trip. It doesn't fold as tiny as i'd like, but with a big shade and tall handles that should be expected. I'll stop back to change rating if I need to. Figured I tell what I found since there are practically no reviews of this on the web.

I was very excited about this stroller at first, however after using it a few times the lock wouldn't stay down and the stroller kept trying to fold back up on my little one. When we were walking, I had to stop every 50 yards to push the foot lever back down.
I ended up returning it because it just wasn't safe.

Hello mlee,
Thank you for taking the time to review your 3D lite stroller. We're sorry to hear that you had difficulty with it. Although you've returned it already, hopefully our feedback will help others who may experience a similar situation. Occasionally, the straps attaching storage basket are below the release bar. When this happens, any weight in the seat causes the release bar to unlock. To fix this issue, unsnap the straps and reattach them above the release bar. This should solve the problem. If not, please contact our Consumer Relations Team at (800) 268-6237, Monday-Friday, 8 am to 6 pm EST.
Kindly,
Summer Infant
